GNC is sort of a monopoly of the "suppliment/nutrition" department in Lewiston, but being knowledgeable on what you're trying to get at is key. The sales clerks are well dressed and welcoming, but the two main guys "Matt and Billy" are almost intimidating with their sales pitches which can draw you away. As for the female associates, they tend to pressure you more and more (especially when asking or replying to questions). They make you seem like you're not the way you should be, and that "this" is what you need to buy to get where you should be. I'm not too sure on who is the main person with all the information is, but I wouldn't think it takes any sort of schooling to become a "nutritionist" because one of the sales clerks at GNC is also a front-end manager at Albertson's. read more

I like this GNC because of the customer service. While I am convinced that the associates operate on a commission, the whole supplement thing can get really confusing. If you tell them what you want, they steer you in the right direction. I've been getting my protein here for years. If you're going to shop here a lot, I would recommend becoming a GNC goldcard member. If not, just wait for the sales. Usually there's one about every other month. read more

I find GNC to be too overpriced and the employees talk down to you like you're an idiot. They try to sell you an overpriced, low quality product that you can simply read the label and see that it not what they say it is. read more

I ordered some cat hairball and cat joint chews on May 22 and paid for the order that day. It is June 6th and my order is still not here. I have been given three different "special order" dates that my product would "for sure" be there, but on each of these dates was told the product was out of stock in the warehouse. When I suggested I was going to come in and get my money refunded and check on the web-site to see if I had the same problem ordering on-line, I was told, "oh, wait a minute" I have another sheet here for a special order and those items are on this sheet so they will be there Monday to Wednesday next week. This is the same exact thing I was told Wednesday of this week except that for sure they would be in on Friday, today. Don't know what's going on here but will definitely pay the shipping cost next time and order them on line (if they work and if my cat likes them) read more
