They told me that if it's not broke, don't fix it. Good philosophy. It's my go-to place for vitamins. They also have protein powders and such. I've also tried their meal replacement shakes. My second place to pick up vitamins would be Trader Joe's. They also have a Men's Multi Vitamin. If you have questions, they have answers. Should be noted that almost every health-aware friend I've talked to has advised me that GNC is overpriced when it comes up but they never offer any other solution so I wouldn't know about that. Me, I'll pay more for convenience any day As for the Covid report, masks are being worn but didn't notice much social distancing there. Anyway, a coworker was bringing his little tupperware in every day and I finally asked him what they were. He said the company was "Managed Meals," although I found out later he was wrong about the name and actually gets his meals from a competitor. Luckily, I looked up Managed Meals instead and got hooked up with this company. I'm only on my first week of meals. I've had 4 so far (I only opted for lunch and dinner.) I'm on the portioned meal plan with 350 calorie lunches and dinners. Yesterday for lunch I had teriyaki chicken with stir fry vegetables. The sauce was awesome! Honestly it tasted like something I'd get at a restaurant. Dinner was meatballs and spaghetti squash with red sauce. The meatballs were very well seasoned as was the red sauce, and who doesn't live spaghetti squash?! Today for lunch I had BBQ chicken and spinach. The spinach was AWESOME. I think my menu said creamed spinach, but whatever they put in it was fabulous! Better than any spinach I've had made for me or I've been able to make myself. Just ate my dinner tonight, it was beef stew. I'm not the biggest stew fan, but it was good and I enjoyed it nonetheless. All the meals this week looked great (except the gumbo, I'm a little scared for the gumbo) My main concern is that I'm going to still be hungry. The portions are small, but only because I PICKED SMALL PORTIONS. So it's going to take some getting used to on my end. Also I think it's important to note that Jessica has been awesome and prompt at returning any questions I have sent to her via email. And I believe she's the owner of the company, so that's pretty cool. You go girl! I'm rating this company 5 Stars. My rating is because of the price, convenience, and the taste of the food. My meals are made for me, and all for $55 a week. It helps me to not overeat OR go out to eat on the weekdays. When I attempted to place the same order today, the team members refused to make the smoothie, stating that it was not on the menu. I went back and forth with the person I assume was the team lead over the intercom, attempting to explain that I have ordered this exact smoothie from this location many times. Ultimately, I had to tell them that I was no longer willing to go back and forth over an order that has routinely been made for me. What was particularly frustrating was the complete lack of willingness to problem-solve or find a way to accommodate the request. I even asked for the franchise owner's name and the store number so that I could follow up appropriately. The team member did not know the owner's name and could only say that the store number was "maybe 553." My mother had ordered the exact same smoothie at this location approximately 30 minutes earlier. I was told that they were able to make hers because they made it as a 32 oz. smoothie, but that they did not know how to make it in a Kids size. Rather than continuing to argue about whether it could be done, I went to the Highland location near Alexander's Highland Market and placed the exact same order. They immediately knew how to enter it: "Lil Angel, no banana, substitute pineapple." There was no hesitation or confusion whatsoever. I understand that employees may not always know the answer to a request, and I certainly don't expect every team member to have every menu modification memorized. What I do expect, however, is a willingness to try to find a solution; particularly for a customer who has been ordering the same item regularly for more than a year. The Highland location demonstrated exactly what I would have expected: they figured out how to enter the order and took care of it without any issue or question. The employees at the location I visited today appeared to be young adults, and I sincerely hope this experience can be used as an opportunity for additional training with emphasis on customer service, problem-solving, creativity, and knowing when to seek assistance from a manager rather than simply refusing a request. I have been a longtime customer and have generally had positive experiences with Smoothie King. That is why today's interaction was especially disappointing.
