Smoothie King

Smoothie King

It's Tuesday and I've been here twice since Saturday, so safe to say Smoothie King is a win…read more Recently opened, my husband (and kids) had stopped in to Jersey Mikes for a quick bite on our way home. Naturally my kids noticed and were intrigued so we stopped in. First off talk about clean and organized. The location itself is lovely. They have a well lit menu displayed with smoothies for everyone! Plenty of options! Strawberry, banana, sure thing. Wanna add a scoop of protein powder or some spinach for your green, no problem! The two working were sweet, answered all of our questions and made some suggestions. Smoothies were delicious and refreshing! Not in the mood for a smoothie, have no fear you can get a Açaí Bowl (that's next) and they have some snacks (Quest Chips, bars, etc) you can purchase and snack on as well. Stop in, say hi and check them out. Don't forget to grab a reward card! One tiny, super minor suggestion, maybe some more seating? They only have one table and a few chairs. Other than that, go!

Dr. Praeger's Purely Sensible Foods is an independent, family-owned and -operated specialty food…read morecompany that was started back in '92 by 2 surgeons to offer a variety of foods that tastes good and encourages people to adopt better eating habits. They offer veggie burgers (California, Kale, Super Greens, Tex Mex, Italian, Bombay, Asian, Bibimbap, Heirloom Bean, Black Bean Quinoa, and Mushroom Risotto), Fish (lightly breaded fish fillets, rice crusted fish sticks, quinoa & herb crusted fish fillets, lightly breaded fish sticks, Thai crusted fish sticks, herb crusted cod fillets, southern cornmeal crusted fish sticks, lightly breaded tilapia fillets, etc.), puffs (taro, kale, and carrot), hash browns, 'Sunwiches' (sunflower-based), cakes (spinach and broccoli), and the 'Littles' line for kids. I'm personally a fan of the Kale Littles (with a mixture of kale and potatoes) and the Broccoli Littles (a mix of broccoli and potatoes), as they they have that hashbrown-esque type of texture to them, bite-sized, and come in bite-sized :D Cooking them up is easy, as you just pop them in the oven and they're good to go after a flip mid-way. Some may opt to prepare them on a skillet to make it a bit more crispier! You can find the product line at local specialty grocery stores :D +Kale Littles :D +found in local specialty stores

At the same time, I had swallowed the rest of the food in my mouth but to my dismay, a sharp piece of something became lodged in my throat! It burned like crazy and caused a lot of anxiety. People at my job were concerned about my state and saw the piece of foreign substance that I saved in my hand I went to the emergency room and they took x-rays which show the damage the object did to my esophagus. I missed two days of work due to sitting in a waiting room for many hours without sleep and needing a day to rest; which I haven't been able to do. The sharpness of this object can damage my intestinal wall which is very delicate. Because I missed two days of work, I may lose my job because I didn't get the ok from the company to take time off, even though this is an emergency. I have reched out to Dr. praeger's headquarters in Saddlebrook and the numbers they have listed on their website either don't work or they are numbers to an entirely different company. I have also emailed them a couple of times and received no replies; yet they are active on Facebook!

This location is spotless and clean, well-organized, and well-staffed. All of our main staples can be found here. Staff are always willing to assist, they are kind, and they are helpful. Shelves are always well-stocked. The sushi counter is to die for, as is the fresh bread. Parking can be challenging, so be prepared for that.

This is a very spacious Whole Foods, I must say. There are two entrances for this location. Enter…read morefrom outside through the front door or from inside the mall area. If entering from inside the mall, it's a straight walk down the corridor. I came in to get something to eat because the pickings are slim when it comes to food options at Bergen Town Center. I couldn't go wrong with the shrimp tempura kabuki roll. Aside from a few shells that were left in, this roll was fantastic. The brown rice was actually great together with the spicy mayo, brown sauce and gari. Soy sauce wasn't even necessary. I only wish there was a little more gari on the platter. For $11.49, it was a deal. If eating food inside Whole Foods, there are numerous places to sit as well as a lounge area right outside. I found the associate I asked for help sourcing a product to very helpful. She pointed to the area where she believed the product was. After I had been standing there clueless still looking, she came back over and asked me for more details. Unfortunately, they didn't carry the brand. The queue for self checkout went by fairly quickly as there were so many kiosks. I'd recommend this Whole Foods location many times over!

Nestled in an old world-like, half Sicilian half Albanian neighborhood, right across from the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Montevergine, the entire experience took us pleasantly back in time ... salumeria along the wall, aged provolone hanging from rope, and just about every handmade delicacy you could imagine.....and some new ones we hadn't seen before... Then there's .... the bread..... the bread.... Nowhere in America is there bread like this. This is the real deal (NOT the chain supermarkets--you know who you are) that offer supposedly "Italian" or "French" bread with marshmallow softness attributed to all the preservatives and polysorbate 80. No Signore, this bread contains all the goodness of that crispy crunchy exterior with pure angelic cloud interior that melts in your mouth! Bread this good can be eaten as dessert... (if there aren't any cannolis around).... Yeah they got those here too... We couldn't decide, and we were running late so we ended up grabbing a loaf of semolina bread just in from the oven and a container of Sicilian olives (with pits! Don't waste my time with pitted olives that taste like salted cardboard). Could say more but why? Veni e guarda (look and see for yourself)... Highly recommended. We'll be back! Ce' vediamo dopo.
