If you walk by and don't notice that the store is there, then you're not going to mind that the store no longer exists, which I hope happens eventually. I have to do a double take to even know for sure that this is a General Nutrition Center. Hoping to cash in the Gold Card Week discount for this month, I was hesitant to enter this store knowing that my previous visits left me leaving the joint with me scratching my head. The staff are not knowledgeable about their products or discounts. This GNC is smaller, thus less merchandise. Running low on my favorite protein shake Promasil, I was disappointed to hear that they didn't carry it. But, that's not the issue. The worker inside didn't care whether I came in. Didn't even bother to ask me if I had a question, knowing that I was the sole person in the venue. Didn't care to recommend me another brand. Didn't bother that I left. Didn't even look at me when talking. HELLO! Are you even working today??? Simply, didn't care worth shit. You don't care, I don't care. What a waste of time...

Employees offer great product knowledge! Super affordable and fit my nutrition needs!

I come here looking for specific things like natural maple syrup and high quality flour. I tend to not get fruits and I tend to find more items here from small businesses than brand name spots, so I'll sporadically find things here to impulse buy. They also have lots of prepared self-service hot foods and a poke bar if you want a meal to go. My favorite thing here are their fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, priced at $3.75. They sell so many of them, that they're constantly putting out fresh batches. I've come in four times this year for it and it's been hot and fresh every time! I find that outstanding as I've been to stand alone bakeries with cookies that weren't as fresh as they are here. The cookie is massive and has high quality ingredients you can taste. It's as good of a chocolate cookie as you can find anywhere. Come get some, because if they keep up the high turnover, then I can keep eating them hot and fresh!

I've had issues with the fresh cheese cut in-store, which unfortunately tasted off and had a strong ammonia-like flavor. I will be returning it tomorrow for a refund. This experience has put me off buying their fresh cheeses going forward. I'm also not particularly impressed with the pre-cooked deli selection. There are frequent things that make me hesitate to purchase, such as a recent fish dish that was heavily overdone with capers to the point it felt unbalanced. That said, I do still come in occasionally because they carry some hard-to-find items. I've found excellent coffee here, and I've enjoyed their crab cakes. Customer service has also been very mixed. I had a particularly unpleasant experience with a cashier who had a poor attitude when I was overcharged for an item that was marked differently on the shelf than what I was charged. I went back to show the original price tag, even retrieving the torn portion to demonstrate it matched. Despite this, I was treated as if I might be trying to manipulate the price over a difference of about two dollars. There was no apology, just a dismissive and rude demeanor. The correction was eventually made, but it was handled awkwardly, and I was handed multiple receipts while my original receipt for other purchases was not returned. I left feeling frustrated and disappointed, not because of the pricing issue itself, but because of how it was handled. Overall, I still stop in for a few specialty items, but my confidence in consistency and customer service has definitely been affected. The ambiance of the store is nice. The parking lot it can often be a nightmare.

I hope they continue the breakfast special bc it's such a good deal for folks that don't otherwise shop at the market due to pricing. I ordered over easy eggs, roasted sweet potatoes and toast with butter and jam. The eggs were PERFECT!! Kudos to the maker bc all the white was cooked but the yolk was all there...like literally no cooked yellow, at all. Perfection. Sweet potatoes are yummy and the sourdough toast is so big it's enough to sop up all the delicious yolk with one left over to have with jam for dessert lol (and I think it's raspberry right now or maybe even blackberry, so tasty). And it comes with coffee . Plus bc the order didn't go in until I got there they let me top off my coffee and apologized for a second time (it was no fault of theirs but the courtesy was so nice). I'll continue to come for this and the service! Ps... sorry no picture bc I literally devoured it

Is it time already? Am I already at that age to worry about my health? Adolescent me would be…read moreridiculing current me if he knew I was taking health supplements! Well it seems my mid 30s have arrived, and I find myself actually being concerned for my well-being as well as my wife's. When you're younger, you really don't think too much of it, especially since you feel invincible. But the older I get, the more...for the lack of a better word...old I feel. I now feel that health supplements are beneficial to me. My parents have taken Umeken products for a long time, so I was always aware of it (I guess that's most 1st generation Korean parents from LA though, haha). But I HATED taking them when I was younger. What a fool I was! I now see the benefits of taking premium health supplements from Umeken. Only thing is I have to pay for them myself now....Curse you, adulthood! My wife and I both enjoy Koso Balls and we regularly take Okinawa Zedoary for our stomach issues. We also supplement (haha, get it?) those supplements with the Mineral L-Calcium and Nattokinase (my wife is worried about my cardiovascular health). Ordering online from their website is convenient and although I don't personally buy the products from the stores, I do see them at some of the markets I frequent, which is kind of nice to see their setup firsthand. I highly recommend Umeken products! Plus, they're great gifts to give to parents since they all know Umeken.

So I never was into or paid any attention to health supplements until I did for my parents. As they…read moreretire and age, I noticed all kinds of health problems started to surface. Much of the problems r from years of unhealthy diet (high sugar contents, high cholesterol diets and processed food...etc) and lack of regular exercise from working in an office environment. Through my research, I found out that preventative care is much better and cheaper than treating an illness after the fact, so I started to look into natural food and supplementing the necessary nutrients. One thing I found, which really made a lot of sense to me, was the importance of enzymes in our body. U can do a bit of reading online, there r a ton of info about It. So apparently, we lose them as we age, but it's a critical part of not just our digestive system, but our whole body. That's when I found out abt this brand. I did more research into the different brands of enzymes and learned that not all enzymes products r made equal, just like pretty much any product on the market. From ingredients, to the process of manufacture, I have to say I was really impressed by Umeken. Their philosophy and belief r reflected in how they make their products. I mean I've always known Japanese are methodical and stringent in their manufacture, which extends from their culture, but this brand is pretty much taking that even a step further! I found out that they have their own organic farms in Japan so they can grow their own ingredients and take full control of the quality. And to ferment their enzymes, they use this super soft ground water in the Amazon forest near their sourcing plantation to get the best result? What? I don't think I know another manufacture that go thru that kind of trouble to deliver their products, it's no wonder their stuff is so pricey! But at least I can be sure of its quality, and geniune effectiveness. I'd rather spend a little more to get the best stuff out there, than wasting half of as much on the useless ones or worse, the ones that actually do harm to ur body. Damn..I wrote an essay here LOL but ya, I researched and learned a lot abt this brand and the more I learned, the more I like it. I wish more companies are like them, put their product quality and integrity first!
