A hearty shout-out to Eric, who took the time to check the back of the store to see if he could find an item which I needed to get the "But One get One for 50% off deal. He was super friendly and very eager to help me. What a nice man...and he found the item I was looking for! Checking out was also quite an enjoyable experience. Brittany was as friendly as they come and very upbeat during the entire checkout process. Her constant smile was quite infectious! As I was leaving the store I happened to run into the store manager, Janelle. I told her what a positive experience I had that day and how helpful her employees were. It's like it's set up to do that so people won't return anything. It takes forever, the cashier gets flustered, customers in line get irritated. Why exactly is this an ongoing thing? Also every single time I try to use a coupon there is an issue. Half the time I leave the store and the coupon wasn't applied. This includes coupons procured in their own special personalized coupon book. Crazy right? Do better Natural Grocers! I have this problem nowhere else. As in NOWHERE. Just at my 'friendly' irritating ridiculous neighborhood health food store. Makes me not want to shop there ever again. At the very least I don't recommend the place to anyone. We called the store and spoke to a manager. He said he would refund. We brought the unopened boxes back, paid with a credit card for a refund or replacement. An employee asked us to come back later when a manager would be there. Which we did. The manager refused to refund or replace said we should have returned the product before expiration.
