I'm surprised I've never visited the store but this place has a great selection of organic items. A lot of vegan and plant-based items too especially with their protein powder section. They have a little bit of an alcohol selection but nothing impressive. Great selection of supplements. Their clearance section I wasn't too impressed with either. Whether items or discounted they're actually at a great price because their normal price is a little steep

Noteworthy employees are Isadora and Anthony, many wonderful experiences in store asking questions and simply kind and supportive exchanges. Isadora specifically is very compassionate and empathetic I have noticed not only with my encounters with her but her encounters with other people. Anthony was especially supportive and empathetic through the renovation process. Many of the natural grocers independence employees have been supportive but there are so many great moments I have had in this store with my kids and I will continue to return. Thank you natural grocers for providing a great space for wholesome shopping.

Nice display. But, I didn't see any vitamin staff the whole time we were in the store. It could have been their break or maybe working in their back room. We were able to find what we needed. Nice display of flowers. The produce department looked clean. Certain areas were not full. The bulk department had nice displays. It took me awhile to find the refrigerated coconut water.

This place was so weird…read more The guy at the register seemed like, hungover or something, and it just... took him a while... I hope he wasn't having a mini stroke. The item I purchased rang up at a higher price than what it said on the shelf. Never a good sign. Everything was really expensive, except for a few things on sale - like, I managed to find a single-serve yogurt on sale for $2.50 instead of $4.59. They have some bulk herbs and teas, but the selection is very, very limited. They have a couple water dispensers in back which is nice, but there's no price listed anywhere. I really want this kind of place to survive..... but it's just so pricey; and then the service wasn't great either.

Staff here was overall helpful and friendly. Store was very clean and I did like the layout it also wasn't too busy at all but the aisles can't be a big claustrophobic. Overall solid recommend for a healthy store

They basically have healthy pre-prepared meals in a cooler ready to go. I believe there are microwaves there just outside the store front (inside the building) that you could use, or most people just take them to go. They have coffees/lattes too, but I have not had one. Their meals come in re-usable plastic containers that I like to reuse. I really like the size and color. It's a bit pricey, but good, clean food is worth it. I wish there were Whole30 options but the sauces (steak sauce / teriyaki sauce / bbq sauce/ soy sauce / buffalo sauce) make that a challenge (true of eating out *everywhere*). The wild caught salmon and green beans were good. They were sold out of the chicken bacon Brussels so that must be a popular dish. You get a 5% discount if you check in on FB.
