The tees need some work as quit a few are chopped up. It's been in the 90's with high humidity. It's unusual to not see one of these: water containers throughout the golf course, an ice bucket in the golf cart, or a cart person selling drinks. Please remember to bring plenty of water with you so you don't overheat. We will definitely return as we do enjoy this course and its location.

No course maintenance folks work on weekends so the rough gets long and fairways are not as tight as they should be. The course does not drain well so after a rain be prepared for ponds in the bunkers and wet low lying rough areas. At about holes 5 through 8 you can hear the bells at the cemetery. On weekends the clubhouse does not serve food or drink (the pro- shop has bars and candy and drinks) but the at the turn at hole 9 they serve beer, drinks and chips etc.

Going to Modern Woodmen Park is a must for any baseball fan. It is one of the oldest parks in the nation. Many MLB stars got their careers started here in Davenport, Iowa. This family friendly stadium offers a wide variety of entertainment for the whole family. If the great game of baseball isn't for you, check out the different amusement rides. The Ferris wheel is huge and gives spectators a glimpse of the field and mighty Mississippi River. The concessions have many great foods and drinks to purchase at reasonable prices. You won't go broke here like at a MLB stadium. Where else can you watch a baseball game, see river boats cruise the river, and hear trains fly down the tracks? Modern Woodmen Stadium is the answer.

On one side is a bridge and another side, an amusement park with Ferris wheel and merry go round. I walked around a lot. The layout is graded up high, as you had to walk 20 steps up to it. The reason 4/5 stars is lack of good concessions. A couple of places such as a Mexican grill weren't open. The line for this one grill was insanely long the whole night. The Whiteys ice-cream did not have malt cups, supposedly sold out the night before. Piss poor planning for a crowd. I settled for Cheesesteak nachos without onions and peppers in a helmet. Also shared a chip witch or chocolate chip cookie with ice-cream between it. The stadium was really iconic and cool. The Ferris wheel lit up at night. Just work on better concessions with product and have more open. Review 94 in 2023.

They told me all the same things until the day of the party at which time, different staff said different things and they were prepared for less than half of the people we had coming! My guests and I were the ones that had to make all the adjustments (move 6 tables to another room, runout and get enough cupcakes) while kids ran around) . And instead of trying to help make up for the incompetence of the staff and their mistakes , they gave excuses and tried to fight me about what I had had requested. And then I was charged full price though me and my guests did most of the work. NEVER AGAIN. DO NOT HAVE YOUR PARTY HERE. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
