So yes, Virginia, these folks do seem to work efficiently! There are about six or so chairs in the shop, and each has a name over it, so I'm sure they means they have an equal number of barbers working there. Mine turned out to be Sharon, a lovely middle aged lady who seems to know her way around a set of clippers and scissors. She actually appears to be the owner's wife. I usually get a buzz cut, and Sharon did a fantastic job of ensuring evenness, a good clean up and even took care of my eyebrows. She took the trouble to show me a sample cut of the closest guard she had just north of totally bald...I was looking for exactly that! The shop itself is good sized as one may presume from the number of chairs/stations in there. The shelf above all the mirrors is loaded with replica NFL helmets, giving the shop a real mannish/manly feel without being phony or over the top. Very clean too, as the owner was going around with broom and dustpan to each station as a cut was finished. Owner himself is a pleasant fellow; somewhat quiet but still affable. He "warned" me that they're cash only too. So please note, gentlemen: if you wanna try this spot, it IS cash only. Buzz cut that I got was $15, which is VERY reasonable these days. The rest of their price list is equally reasonable too. All in all, I find myself quite pleased with the shop, the staff AND the experience overall. I received a high quality haircut that beats near anything and everything I've gotten in the nine years since moving here. I highly recommend Pete's...so much so that I'll never look for another barbershop again!

Second, I show my barber (Victor) a picture of the haircut I wanted - What I ended up getting was completely different. Finally, the three barbers were yelling at each other the entire time and didn't communicate with their patrons at all. I would have tried to ask for them to redo the haircut a bit but didn't want to make the guy who had already been waiting over 45 minutes to wait longer. Overall, this place sucks - they charge $40 for a $10 - $20 haircut and the vibe makes you want to get up and leave halfway through.
