It is the last time I will ever shop at Party City. The positive: Blown away by the variety and size of the store. There truly is everything you would need to decorate for any party from a child's Birthday to a stag and doe, in every colour imaginable. The purchase: Dropped in on a Saturday and I was surprised how empty the place was. I wandered the lanes for a while and was met by only a handful of bewildered lost customers. But I wanted to see what the place had and took my time looking around. After walking the whole store and picking up a few bits I needed, I was still lost to find a couple items so I proceeded to the checkout as it was the only place in the store I actually saw an employee. The 15 year old was sitting alone at the cash with no one at the line up so I walked to within eye site and asked where an item in question. She could not hear me possibly she was hard of hearing or just not interested as it took me three times to get her to answer even though she was looking right at me. When she finally decided I had climbed over enough displays to get to her she simply grunted , 'huh?' a few times until she pointed me back to a lane with a grunt. Simply a stellar example of untrained, uncaring workforce. Well I am all for Neanderthals being unfrozen , given baths and taught to run cash registers, their customer service is not their best asset. They weren't even assembled. While this would seem like a fun 'activity' for the kids they were so cheap and stingy with the thread and plastic they were impossible to make. A couple parents tried to sit and make them but they were garbage. pack of mini 8 balls - IMMEDIATELY bled blue ink over everything while removing them from package. The only thing keeping them together was the cellophane to which sprayed blue ink everywhere once it was removed. pack of noisemakers - IMMEDIATELY would not hold together long enough to go into the gift bags. crumbled into pieces like the 'glue' kid at the sweatshop was off sick that day. Overall everything I purchased was so unbelievably low grade going to the dollar store would have been like going to Tiffany's in comparison. Conclusion: Avoid this place. It's a ripoff. The office staff I spoke with on several occasions were very professional, curtious and friendly. Our delivery-man (John Cameron) was awesome. He was super friendly and went well above his call of duty by setting everthing up quickly and efficiently. He then offered to help us with another unrelated setup that was critical to our wedding's success. A huge shout out to John! In the future, if I host an event, The Ultimate Party and Rental Shop is the only party supplier in the Sacvkille-HRM area I would consider. I rented 150 chairs for my outdoor wedding. they were set up before the ceremony and taken down…read moreafterwards, it was a beautiful sunny day. when I returned the chairs I got an email saying that all the cushions needed to be replaced as they were stained with "red wine". there was no red wine at my ceremony and all the chairs looked perfect when packed away to be retuned. they tried to charge me $5 per chair to "replace the cushions". The company was very rude and difficult to deal with, they also would not allow us to see the chairs at that time. My parents tried to handle the situation as I was back in school and they refused to speak with anyone except me. after multiple emails back and forth they did not reach out again and didn't charge my credit card. I would not recommend anyone using this company!

This means that it is not going to arrive until after the event it was purchased for. My parcel was shipped by a method that is approximately 75% cheaper than the option I paid for. The staff have not been helpful in attempting to rectify the problems. I would NOT recommend Ripsters to anybody!
