The people there have always been really nice, and I've never had a bad service experience. I'd say a lot of what they sell is worth the money, but true antique/vintage things like what they sell are not always going to be "cheap". Although, I have found many great items selling for low prices! I love to come in here with my best friend after we go out to breakfast somewhere in town, and it's definitely a true antique store with authentic antique items!! I've gotten a couple Precious Moments from here and a collectible Harley Davidson Barbie for my sibling as a gift. I also found a really cute cookbook that me and my friend share for only $3. Unfortunately, I'm not much of a baker so I haven't yet tried the recipes (and our oven is a hater). 100% recommend to anyone who LOVESSS a good, wide open space to hunt for treasures!!!

A kindly gentleman runs the place, and he'll invite you in to visit his rooms filled with stuff. Some old, some very old, and the rest would appeal to baby boomers. I being one of those, so the place kept my interest. My daughter found a cache of Barbie dolls that my granddaughter would flip over. She uses them in her YouTube videos. So the blast from the past will soon make an appearance in the media of the present. I found some extremely reasonable baseball cards for my grandson. I guess it's called "new old stock". I'll probably go back for more.....but for me. The gentleman told us that he always has stuff coming in, "so make sure that you come back." I believe we will. Actually, I know we will. There are Barbies on the shelves waiting for their big break into show business. Quick Tip: The prices, for the most part, are very good. My daughter surprised me with a coin bank that only set her back four bucks! I got that much enjoyment out of it by just having it in my hands!

They're closing their doors due to an increase in rent and have a lot of inventory on sale. My mother was at the register paying for some things and happened to notice a large canvas painting of four bandits from Leiper's Fork. She mentioned how she's always admired it and asked if it was for sale. The lovely lady at the front, who I can only guess to be the wife of the owner said and I quote, "If you couldn't afford it back in 2018, you sure couldn't afford it now." Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Can't afford rent, closing your doors and speaking to someone like that. You can't even afford to keep your doors open! Bye! You're attitude won't be missed and we'll be sure to let all of the locals know how you treated my mom. Loser!

Since we were already in Columbia for my eye incident, my daughter said "Hey dad, do you want to go…read moreto this cool antique store?" I'm always up for an adventure, (as if my eye thing wasn't adventure enough) especially with any of my girls. Sure enough I said as she pulled into Treasure Village. Right from the get go I knew this place was going to be good. It had that musty smell. You know that smell when you walk into grandma's old house? Come to think of it, when I was young, and I first smelled that smell, I thought that it was grandma. But I soon found that It was old gold just waiting to be rediscovered. After poking around a bit I stumbled upon a real cool huge glass bottle. I've always wanted one of those. I said "hey Missy, check this out" I know, she replied as she was talking to a clerk. She spied it before I did. She was attempting to negotiate the price to a more favorable proposition. The clerk said that she'd have to call the gentleman who is selling it. So we went on with our treasure hunt. This store has a lot of twists and turns, ups and downs in it. Stuff is everywhere. Search closely to uncover a special find. We did and we found. I lost track of Missy somewhere in the labyrinth of rooms and aisles. When we met up again it was by the front counter. I asked if she heard from the seller of the big bottle. Missy said "I sure did daddy, happy father's day!" That girl made the deal and I am now the proud owner of a 13 gallon glass bottle. I love that girl! What am I going to do with it you ask? I'm going to fill it with coins of course. My 5 gallon bottle is full. Quick Tip: Be careful going up and down the stairs going up to the second floor. The steps are about half as wide as normal stairs are. I told my granddaughter that they were like this because back in the day women wore hoop skirts and had to go down the stairs sideways. Oh grandpa she said. Those are my favorite words.
