The venue: The harbor room is an absolute gem of a find. First, you CANNOT beat the view. The balcony has the most amazing view of the pier with breath-taking sunset. The sea breeze entering the room make the entire experience even more amazing. Also, the room itself is beautiful and beautifully maintained with a great sound system as well as a nice bathroom upstairs and one downstairs. 2. The absolute BEST part was the owner Meg, who is absolutely amazing (the best owner you can ever dream of). Allison and Sarah could not have been more comforting and proactive. Over email, phone, and video call, they put my mind at ease and I felt so prepared the day of my wedding, no matter what restrictions were in place. Allison could not have done a better job the day of. She built a great rapport with my family, bridal party, and the venue's event manager to ensure the day ran smoothly. She knew the schedule and set up like the back of her hand. When the timing of certain day-of activities changed last minute, she made sure to let me know of the changes and the night went on without issue. If it were not for COVID and my anxieties around how it would affect our wedding I likely would not have looked for an outside coordinator- our venue did provide one that began to work closely with us (and Allison) in the month or so before the wedding and I truly believe she would have done a comparable job in the day-of execution. But it's the long term commitment to the planning process that makes Without a Hitch special. And while our venue did not host many weddings during COVID, Without a Hitch planned so many, and had the experience and suggestions that made the wedding feel as normal as it possibly could. They were great, and Jessa was very easy to work with re: setting up our rental. It was not inexpensive, BUT the sound system suited our needs perfectly. I do have to say that the gentleman who came to set up the system and then pick it up at the end of the night was AMAZING. He was super helpful, super friendly, and he made sure everything was set up to perfection before he left. He even came back a half hour early that night when I found out that the venue needed to lock up earlier than we had expected, which was incredibly appreciated. The system we rented worked perfectly for my client's DIY wedding DJ needs - they were happy, so I was happy too.

The second best decision I've ever made was hiring Ana as our wedding planner. I was TERRIFIED and overwhelmed by the thought of having a big wedding. My parents really wanted one (150ppl) so I took the plunge. I dreaded the thought of the planning... the linens, the flowers, etc etc. Ana made it so easy AND to my shock.... enjoyable!! She truly listens to what your "vision" is but she also gets to know you and almost literally reads your mind. One anecdote: Ana knew I was obsessed with our dogs and without me saying anything she put us in touch with a cake vendor who specialized in cake toppers.... our dogs were the bride and groom on the cake and it was so, so perfect and "us". She is classy, sweet, elegant and fun... but she is also a mama bear and will stop at nothing to protect her bride and make sure the brides day is perfect. Ana is a professional. She knows the business. She knows the vendors. She knows where to go, who to use, and what to say. She is also a total blast to work with. And, again, this is coming from a person who didn't want to do the "bride thing".
