I spent nearly 400$ to get a "Brazilian blowout" "smoothing" treatment and I'm so beyond disappointed. My hair is the same if not more dry and course than before the treatment. I wanted something to temporarily straighten my hair and I got confused by the messages with the salon which is my fault. But now after all is said and done, I'm just upset my hair feels and looks just a little bit worse if anything 4 hours of salon time and 400$ later. I came here to get my hair trimmed and get my highlights darkened before an upcoming trip and they did a wonderful job with Mama Evans checking in and supervising her hairstylists. Mama Evans gave the hairstylist advice, feedback, and encouragement they needed to execute what I wanted as the end goal and I was really happy with how it turned out. The next week, took little princess here to get her hair trimmed and they did an excellent job as well. Super affordable prices and the staff is friendly. I will be coming back here more often - I can't believe it took me this long to discover this place!

In (many) years, I've never had a haircut that really maximized the curl and didn't require me to do...well, anything. Because I'm that lazy. Lizzie gave me an outstanding Deva cut (cut dry, then washed, then refined again). She has fantastic chickens to listen to outside. Lizzie is a gem. She is the first stylist to see my frizz as an opportunity for waves and curls,…read morerather than a 'problem' that required a blowout. When I first went to her, I had just discovered the Curly Girl method/book -- but I was struggling on my own. Lizzie taught me to understand my texture and work with it. She helped me find the right products and cut, which translated to minimal styling time and lots of compliments! She sells DevaCurl products, but you are not pressured to buy anything. I would advise you try the products and techniques she suggests- you may find it a game changer, as I did. Lizzie works from her home, which is a nice change from a pretentious salon and really keeps the prices reasonable. I would recommend her to anyone, but particularly frizzies like me who struggle to 'tame' their manes. Her client pics and you'll notice they are all different- we don't all leave the salon with the same trendy haircut. This is the mark of a great, client-focused stylist. I highly recommend her!
