I went through the car wash and pulled into the vacuum area, only to find that a piece of my bumper…read morehad been snagged and pulled off during the wash. My 2009 Subaru Forester was in great condition beforehand. The damage happened here. I told the employee at the booth, who called over the assistant manager, Tyler. Tyler was rude and combative from the start. He handed me an incident report with a disclaimer stating the business isn't responsible for damage to cars over 10 years old. I refused to sign it. He also refused to give me contact information for the general manager or any insurance information, and instead gave me the phone number for a different location across town. When I called it, I spoke to two more "assistant managers" who said I'd have to wait for the actual manager before anything could move forward. Total runaround. If a business damages a customer's car, that should be handled between insurance companies, not decided unilaterally by the business that caused the damage. Of course they're going to say it's not their fault. I ended up waiting in the parking lot for over an hour for the general manager, Dustin, to show up. When he finally arrived, he walked straight to my car and started inspecting and touching the damaged bumper without a word. No introduction, no acknowledgment that I was right there. I was alone in the back of that parking lot with two men telling me their business wasn't responsible for damage they caused, and Dustin's whole demeanor made it clear he had no intention of being cordial about it. When I pointed out that he hadn't even introduced himself before putting his hands on my car, his response was, "If this is how we're starting off, it's not going to end well." That's not how a manager should speak to a customer, period. It came across as a thinly veiled threat, not customer service. He was short, dismissive, and clearly agitated that I'd pushed back at all, like I was the problem for expecting basic decency after his business damaged my property. At no point did he attempt to de-escalate, apologize, or treat the situation with any professionalism. If your business damages a customer's vehicle, the bare minimum is: reimburse the cost of the service that caused the damage, treat the customer with respect, and carry insurance to cover it. Instead, I got aggression and intimidation from the person in charge. Worst $11 I've ever spent. Dustin and Tyler both need serious training in how to handle conflict without becoming hostile toward customers.

The level of filth was high- my husband is a castle vet. Think mud, cow shit, and a level of dust that was unholy. I had a hard stone even finding the perpetual dog hair every owner knows is ever present. I paid $55 and it was worth every penny for an interior/exterior detailing. The ladies and gentlemen working there were extremely friendly and professional. We chatted a bit, they loved on the dog, and we enjoyed the nice weather on their mini patio while we waited. I highly recommend them. We'll be going back.

The car wash itself was great, it managed to remove a long road trip's worth of bugs from the grill and the tires were looking fantastic. The self vacuum station was quite impressive. It had spacious parking, the vaccum's had strong suction, plentiful clean towels that were being constantly replenished and ample bottles of window cleaner. We couldn't ask for more. Now let's get into the extras of a rather unconventional car wash trip. Just as we were about to leave, my husband got into a little fender bender with another vehicle (absolutely no fault of the car wash). They immediately came to check up on us and make sure everyone was ok, offered us a comfortable place to sit in the AC while the police made a report, brought us all (police included) ice cold bottles of water and then... they continued to take the time to check up on us the entire time we were there. They went well above customer service even though they were frankly quite busy and nothing was expected from them. They just really cared. I then had to call several weeks later on behalf of my insurance to obtain the camera footage and not only was Nathaniel incredibly helpful and warm, he then took the time to format the video for me, not once, but THREE times. He called twice to check up and make sure I was able to open the file, checked w the insurance to make sure they got it and provided several other solutions if that should fail. He really invested himself into helping in whichever way he could ands never once made me feel like I was putting him out. Thanks Happy's and Nathaniel! I couldn't recommend you enough.

Jeff found the problem in a timely manner and recommended that the instrument cluster be sent out their preferred sub contractor, VDO repair; this was a BIG MISTAKE! Four weeks to get the cluster back! The initial problem was remedied, however; now the on-board clock cannot be set and the temp gauge pointer was installed incorrectly. I attempted to contact VDO, but apparently they have gone out of business. The repair work order indicated that the 'trouble codes' had been cleared, this was not the case. For example, I am at a loss to why a persistently malfunctioning 'check engine oil' idiot light on the cluster was not discussed. I know what the root of the problem is and would have agreed to a repair. I can only assume that John's does not want or need my business. Bottom line: the shop is very competent and focused but not particularly concerned about the timeliness or quality of the repair. I had incorrectly diagnosed the root of the problem and am very pleased that Jeff was ethical, truthful and accurate with the process, thus saving me a lot of money and frustration.
