They know every child by name. The teachers are incredibly sweet and attentive. They create a nurturing environment where our son has thrived. The daycare also offers great amenities that give us peace of mind as parents: - A healthy morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack are provided daily -Secure key code door access and a key code tablet check-in/check-out system -Live-stream cameras in the classrooms so you can check in on your child anytime -They provide updates with photos and videos so you can see what your child is up to throughout the week. The cost is in line with other similar daycares in the Sacramento area and their location was very convenient for me in North Natomas. Overall, Child Time has been amazing for us. The teachers are caring, the environment feels safe, and my son likes it there. We're really happy we found this place and would recommend it to any family looking for good childcare.

The administrators work hard on planning programs and spirit days as well as checking in on milestones like potty training and nap changes. Books, art projects, outside play, ability to choose an activity and free play are part of nearly every day. I wish corporate would reconsider their policies on bus transportation for after school care. Now that California has public TK, it puts families like ours with an autumn birthday in an odd spot. We are so happy our child is currently in Childtime of Natomas's PreK/TK program, but it sounds like next year when she starts public TK, she will have to wait a year until kindergarten to qualify for bus pickup. That probably means we won't be able to continue with Childtime of Natomas after the summer. It seems like they should close this gap so that families who like the center have an easier time staying with it as kids grow.

Karen was also very thorough in detailing costs and approved programs, Calwork and Capp. A plus, is that Karen and her partner Rocio are both bilingual (Spanish/English)! Which is super helpful since I want my baby to continue on and speak our language along with English. The place in itself is super clean with educational books and toys, they even have a diaper changing station. The fire extinguisher is at hand, the place has several windows which keeps the place ventilated (important now with covid). To note, Karen and Rocio were both wearing masks as one should and showed me their vaccination cards without hesitation. Don't be shy to ask! Looking forward to working with Rocio and/or Karen.

They do wonderful things with the children, from circle time, to sensory bins, to handwriting, to art, to counting, to calendar practice, to motor skills, and more! They also have jobs where students have a specific job for the week! Leadership is awesome! Ms Vanessa and Ms Dulce are top notch and make sure parents are happy and they are very supportive of their teachers! Infant teachers Ms Erica, Ms Tracy, and Ms Miranda are awesome and will care and love your infants! There infant Room is always clean and they are always giving those babies the attention they deserve! You take off your shoes when you go inside so it's clean for the kids and there is a separate room for them to take their naps. Some of the daycares I checked out when we first moved here had the play area convert into sleep area and just placed plastic mattes for them to sleep on - yukky. This place has a sleep room so the kids don't get woken up from any noise outside. WHAT TO EXPECT: Firoozeh does an amazing job with the kids. She is so professional, always wearing gloves to change their diapers. Each day I get a sheet informing me of when my daughter ate,slept, peep/pooped. Firoozeh always takes classes to keep updating her preschool and daycare activities and makes sure the kids are ready for school one day! The activities, toys and books are wonderful and all the love that Firoozeh pours into the daycare and the kids is visible. FUNNY NOTE: My daughter did not want to leave one afternoon when I picked her up a bit earlier than usual (thinking she would want to dash out of there) and that was when my guilt started fading (just a bit). I highly recommend this place and trust me I know it's good since I drive here from East Sacramento almost each day (my job is not here but it's so nice to know my daughter loves it and has fun so it's worth it to me!)

This is also a place that is incredibly accommodating and helpful for working parents - they have great hours and limited closures during the year. I knew my child was always safe and getting the best care!

I visited several centers but chose HIH based on several factors: 1. Yes, several "baby friends" were attending HIH. 2. The outside play area is awesome! 3. The staff are amazing. Shelly, the director has been with HIH for 20+ years. That says a lot about a place that they have had the same director for that long. Also, when there is staff turnover, the rigorous training the teachers are put through speaks to the level of care involved in finding the right fit for the school. Like the previous daycare my children have attended, the food is made in house which is important to me. Children can be picky eaters and HIH tries hard to be creative with the menu while ensuring the food is nutritious and also appetizing to small kids. Loving is the only word you need to describe HIH. The staff is loving. Hugs are freely given and frequent which is very important. I love hugs from my children and I am so appreciative that the staff at HIH love hugs as much as I do. All in all this place is awesome and my review is not doing it justice.

Our daughter had a difficult transition into facility-based care. Shelley (the director) and Amy (a teacher) responded with warmth, consistency and kindness... and gave our daughter (and her worried parents) lots of love and hugs. There have been staff changes lately, but I think that is pretty consistent with the industry. Also, the director and at least one teacher have been there for many years. I have found the the staff to be extremely responsive to any concerns that I have. They are very communicative. They treat children as individuals and nurture their creativity. Instead of being punitive, they focus on positive alternatives and how to be kind. PLAY and ACTIVITIES: One of the big draws of HIH is a huge outdoor play area. They have a garden, play house, toys and a bike track. They let the kids spend a lot of time outside, and even have water play in the summer. They keep the kids very active and do not show movies except one or two special days a year. They have a musician who comes to HIH on a regular basis and plays guitar and sings with teh children. FOOD: I really like that HIH has a cook on site. The meals are fresh and always include a vegetable. They seem healthy and interesting. THINGS THAT WOULD MAKE HIH EVEN BETTER: I would love to see HIH offer only organic foods and cut out all sugary snacks and juice... even if this meant charging more. I also really wish that HIH would develop a stronger spanish language program. They make an effort to read some books and do some activities in Spanish, but it would be great for the kids to get more immersion. Again, I would highly recommend HIH. I think the staff really loves and respects children... but get on the waiting list early, it can take a while to get a spot.
