Then, we booked the original English version, which is in 3D, which we weren't expecting. This is not a review of the movie, but of the movie experience. The luxury seats not only came with fully reclining seats, but each seat had been a phone recharging pad as well as a USB port to charge an additional device. Also, everyone fully disposes of their own trash after the movie. There is a recycling station outside each theater for people to empty liquids and stack their recyclable drinking container. People are very quiet in movie theaters. We were the only ones laughing out loud. We also clapped immediately after the movie was over. After a long pause, there was a smattering of applause.

The 3 screens (1 main screen on upper level, 2 small screens on lower level) provide a great selection of art-house, international or alternative films. The atmosphere is quite relaxed, and not like the cookie-cutter cineplexes. Wine, beer and espresso drinkes are available, as well as the standard snacks (but no popcorn). Arrive early for shows, since they are often full.

Both cinemas have the same prices, but Cinestar has a larger selection since some movies only have one or two showings per day, so multiple titles per screen (10 screens total). In the summer some English-language originals used to be shown, but this has been drastically reduced, while subtitled Turkish-language films are also offered in the winter (generally 1 film per week). Discounted parking is available in the underground garage (2.50€ for 3 hours). On Friday & Saturday evenings long lines for the 8pm shows. Keep your 3-D glasses after the show, you'll get a 1€ discount on the next 3-D movie.

Prices vary depending on how far or close to the screen you sit, but overall they are very reasonale prices for a modern day movie theater. Some foreign films are shown in the original language (usually English) once a week. Tuesdays are usually cheaper in price, and the theater also offers a student discount with a valid student ID. The student price is only 5 euros! There is also a discounted price for children (Kinder). The theater has nice cushy seats, offers all the usual movie concessions and the latest in German and Hollywood hits. All movies from Hollywood and in other languages are dubbed into German by German actors.
