Cinestar is ideally located in central Bielefeld, and is usually less crowded than Cinemaxx near the train station. Both cinemas have the same prices, but Cinestar has a larger selection since some movies only have one or two showings per day, so multiple titles per screen (10 screens total). In the summer some English-language originals used to be shown, but this has been drastically reduced, while subtitled Turkish-language films are also offered in the winter (generally 1 film per week). Discounted parking is available in the underground garage (2.50€ for 3 hours). On Friday & Saturday evenings long lines for the 8pm shows. Keep your 3-D glasses after the show, you'll get a 1€ discount on the next 3-D movie. read more

The movie theater is located just a short walk from Jahnplatz and the train station. It is always clean, no sticky floors! Like other German movie theaters, tickets are purchased for particular seats in the auditorium. Prices vary depending on how far or close to the screen you sit, but overall they are very reasonale prices for a modern day movie theater. Some foreign films are shown in the original language (usually English) once a week. Tuesdays are usually cheaper in price, and the theater also offers a student discount with a valid student ID. The student price is only 5 euros! There is also a discounted price for children (Kinder). The theater has nice cushy seats, offers all the usual movie concessions and the latest in German and Hollywood hits. All movies from Hollywood and in other languages are dubbed into German by German actors. read more

The 3 screens predominantly show art-house and European films, with a few main-stream titles. The main screen has older seats and no incline. Furthermore the restrooms are located just off the main aisle, so there is a distraction whenever someone gets up. The two much smaller screens are located 2 floors up (elevator available). Good selection of films, but needs a renovation.

Ich bin immer gerne in dieses Kino gegangen. Doch zuletzt haben mich das lecker popcorn und die hübschen Kinosääle nicht mehr überzeugt. Wir haben in der Woche die Spätvorstellung besucht und hatten uns fünf Minuten vor filmbeginn auf unsere Plätze gesetzt, als der putztrupp zu dritt reinkam und uns nicht sehr höflich gebeten hat, doch den Saal nochmal zu verlassen. Nachdem wir alle Sachen zusammengepackt, vor der Tür gewartet haben, und zum fimbeginn den Saal auch wieder betreten konnten, war in unserer Reihe nicht wirklich sauber gemacht worden. Getränke lagen unter den Sitzen, popcorn überall auf dem boden und herumliegende lockere armlehnen-lediglich die Getränke aus den Haltungen hat das Personal entfernt. Kundenfreundlichkeit und Sauberkeit, sowie der Preis erhalten deutliche minuspunkte. read more

Total schrecklich, mit 16 darf man nichtmal mehr in die Filme rein die bis nach 10 Uhr gehen (obwohl man es darf). Sie sprechen sehr unhöflich, und reden über jemanden wenn sie draußen am Rauchen sind und machen sich über einen lustig ! Ganz erlich ? IHR HABT KEINE KINO BESUCHER MEHR VERDIENT IHR SEID SCHEIßEN UNFREUNDLICH ! GLAUBT MAL IHR WERDET NOCH SEHEN WAS IHR DAVON HABEN WERDET !!! ICH WÜRDE MAL GANZ SCHNELL MIT SO EINER SCHEIßE AUFHÖREN !! Ihr seid die lächerlichsten leute die ich überhaupt kenne ! und das ihr einen Job dort habt das verstehe ich auch nicht ! ich würde euch alle kündigen ! Ihr seid einfach nur dumm leute erlich ! Super Kino mit 10 Sälen Ich habe hier schon unzählige Filme gesehen und mag das Kino lieber als das Maxx, weil die Sitze bequemer sind, es sauberer ist, die Sitze Getränkehalter haben, es besser klimatisiert ist und das Bild schärfer wirkt. Das Maxx hat dafür den besseren Sound. Wermutstropfen sind die Preise für 3D Filme, dass man für 3D Filme das 5 Sterneticket nicht nutzen kann und dass mein Auto in der Tiefgarage aufgebrochen wurde, das Radio geklaut wurde und es den Wachmann/Pförtner ein Sch* interessiert hat. read more

Cinestar Bielefeld ist eine echt Gute alternative zum Cinemaxx , Da sie zentraler in der Innenstadt liegt und auch im Flur zum Kino viele Gaststätten, Internet cafes und Bowlingcenter gibt. Die Sääle sind schön groß und haben meiner achtung nach, bequemere Sitze als die Konkurenz. read more

Die Kinosäle sind ganz in Ordnung, fühle mich aber nicht ganz wohl in dem ganzen Gebäude. Es ist für mein Geschmack ein bisschen zu ,,chaotisch''. Würde gerne 3 1/2 Sterne geben. read more
