This is the second time we've used Global and both experiences have been great. We had a leak from our bathroom in the main floor and had to replace our floor with an insurance claim, which is always a hassle, but Global worked with them to save us the headache. Sandy was our contractor and she was phenomenal. She was easy to talk to and was in constant communication with us. She helped guide to pick the right flooring color and our floors look better than they did before the damage. We also had a small snafu with insurance and she battled with our insurance company on our behalf to make sure they covered the right about of work to restore our house and make it look beautiful. Sheena supported us from the office and was also extremely helpful by working with our insurance company. Restoring our home and being displaced for 10 days is difficult, but Sandy worked hard and kept my wives nerves at ease. Global Restoration saves our bacon after the recent wind storms took down trees left fragile from highway construction. Several trees came down destroying sections of our fence and making the back yard a safety hazard for our family. One call to Global Restoration got the right people on site immediately. After Hurricane Zeta moved through my area, I had a large tree fall on my fence!! For a person will multiple dogs this is NOT good!! We live near a busy highway and the safety of my pups is paramount! Called Global Restoration and like SUPERHEROES they came SAME DAY!! They efficiently cut up the tree AND replaced the damaged fence panels all within a few hours of calling! My dogs have a yard again and my stress is relieved!! I wasn't going to write this but the company kept sending me emails, hounding me to write a yelp review, so here it is. They made an appointment with me to meet me at the home I had recently purchased. Obviously, they had the address. Since this was a second home, I rose early and drove the 2 1/2 hours it took me to get there. When they didn't show at our appointment time, I drove into town to get a few bars and call them (no internet or phone service yet at the new house). That's when I learned that they had an "emergency" and since I was so far away, why didn't I just try to find someone closer anyway? Do you think they might have told me when I set the appointment that it was too far away for them? Not happy about my wasted day and wasted tank of gas. read more

This company hires sub contractors and they don't take responsibility for the kind of work they deliver. The response itself from this company is very slow in every aspect. The revised estimates were double the initial estimates. The final bill is way expensive than the initial estimates. They didn't even bother to work with us in making us understand the final bill and to settle the bill. We had very bad experience with this company. read more

The people were somewhat friendly. The first person that came to my home tried to make me believe the insurance company would not cover all the work. He was seriously trying to cheat me. The workers moved some of my yard decorations in order to avoid damaging them. They did not put them back when they were finished There were cigarette butts in my grass. My privacy fence was left open. The garbage dumpster stayed in my front yard more than a week after they were gone. The office misplaced the deductible check. I had to stop pay on it then paid with my debit card (inconvenient). Then they found the check. read more

We used this company on the recommendation of an adjuster sent by our insurance company. Bad idea! Big talk, poor performance. All sub contractors, No sense of pride in the work they do. I question if some of the contractors were even licensed to do the work that was done. I had to have most of the work torn out and hired my own contractors, at my additional expense, to get the job done correctly. They were happy to take the money but even after agreeing ( the job manager) to repay me..... nothing. Steer clear. Find a good, local contractor to do your work. I used this company as they were a recommended contractor of my insurance company. I thought that if I used them I wouldn't have to put as much effort into overseeing the repairs of my home (tree damage). Boy was I wrong. From the beginning it was broken promise after broken promise. Not one task taken on by global was done correctly. For many areas it took 3 or 4 tries to get it right. Some tasks were never done right. While they seemed very sincere in their apologies, the broken promises just continued day after day. No explanation on why they don't show up certain days. If work wasn't done as promised they didn't offer an explanation, but seemed to wait to see if I'd notice. Roofers left asphalt tiles on shrubs and grass for several days killing them both. Roofers damaged siding during demo. Roofers left shingles in gutters. Wrong paint colors, installed wrong window, certain areas had to be painted 3 or more times. The list goes on and on. Although they got paid for the insurance company for some work they didn't perform, they're holding on the proceeds indefinitely preventing me from hiring an alternate company to do the work. I can't image how they can operate this way with a clear conscience. Beware. read more
