Angela I have a big problem with your review. You stated "you called on very short notice ", but J…read morehelped you out! Correct? You said you asked for a "small handheld bouquet" how many flowers do you think are in a bouquet? More than 3 or 4! If you had asked J for 3 or 4 flowers with a ribbon, J would have bent over backwards to help you out! That is the way J runs her store. She is there for her costumers. You should have asked J for what you wanted. To bash her for something you did not ask for is wrong. She explained to you that she was very busy with Mother's Day & Prom and she was working alone. If you appreciate her honesty and sympathize why would you write a bad review? In case you don't know, J is the owner, the florist, does all the ordering, the secretary, the janitor, the billing department. She is a 1 women operation! Obviously, you were in her store did you notice the awards on her shelve? Those awards were not given to her, they were awarded to her for the successful business she has built. She has earned every one of them! I have had the privilege of working with J for several years. She has created beautiful flowers for graduations, several corsages for my daughters, bouquets for my daughters dance recitals. She has always been great to work with. I have been in her store and witnessed a line of happy customers lined up waiting to get their flowers from J's. I am honored to call her a friend and I will continue to purchase flowers from J's Fresh Flower Market! Thank you J! Continued success!

Less people to deal with, parking right up front, helping out a smaller business owner, and getting personal service. All out a win win situation. The lady that helped me was very nice and made a beautiful bouquet. The selection she used was very well put together. I've been here a couple times for my kids dances. And those came out great as well. You want a nice arrangement that isn't just like all the others in a bunch, shop small.

J's Fresh Flower Market - I stopped by on 5/26 at 3:30 pm. Maybe they should put that on their sign they spent time making.

The Pantry - Banana bread latte and robin's egg cold brew

This is a cute little cafe/flower shop that also sells some fun items and take home meals. I've…read moreseen similar concepts in some of our nearby lakeshore towns, and I think it's a nice combination of retail/coffee shop/cafe. It has a European feel to it that I enjoyed. Nate and I stopped by on a Saturday morning to try some of their seasonal drinks and get a light breakfast. The menu includes some hot food items (breakfast sandwich and quiche) and a small selection of pastries. We got a bunch of things to share: banana bread latte, a breakfast sandwich, slice of broccoli ham quiche, and a cherry almond scone. Everything came out on a counter near the ordering area and they called out our name. The drinks were tasty but I preferred the robin's egg cold brew the best. The banana bread latte didn't have a lot of banana flavor; it mostly tasted like the spices you'd associate with banana bread. I really liked the food we tried. The quiche was one of the best I've ever had. I'm actually still thinking about it days later. The texture of the egg was silky and custardy, not at all spongy or dry. I thought it was divine but if you don't like that texture, it is not for you (flan-like). The breakfast sandwich was a bit bland -- I asked for hot sauce but they couldn't find any. I appreciated the texture of the biscuit, and the egg was also tender (not as custardy as the quiche). I don't usually like scones as they tend to be dry, but theirs was flaky, buttery, and delicious, with a very almond-forward flavor. I would definitely order more quiche and scones. There were quite a few people coming in for pickup orders on a sunny Saturday morning. If I lived closer, I think I'd come here often. I'd be curious to try some of their take home items or lunch.

I came into The Pantry around 10:30am and there was only one table left available. I took this as…read morea good sign that people must like this place. I parked in the back of the building and there were plenty of parking spots. I had a cappuccino because I had to try their coffee. It was great! I got some other things to try - the Asian salad and the carrot cake. Both were very good. Salad had tons of chicken. And the dressing was light and fresh. Carrot cake was freshly made and the frosting was amazing!! They had some different options in their take home fridge - some chicken lasagna and curry chicken salad to name a couple. I would definitely love to try that chicken salad one day. This place was the perfect coffee shop/bistro. I wish I lived closer by so that I could try more!
