Very unprofessional team. I would not recommend to go to this location. They do not provide clear directions.

Atlas Driving School - Directions from Atlas Driving School to the DMV we were taking the test

I enrolled my teenage son for the full course at Atlas Driving School in West Hartford. As a parent…read morewho believes in giving my child a safe and top-notch driver's education, the instructors and staff exceeded my expectations. Melissa is very attentive and always follows up, ensuring that all in-class sessions are confirmed and that the 2-hour hands-on driving appointments are convenient. Khan was my son's instructor. He is calm, patient, informative, safe, and always early. He knows how to handle a teenager and answers all questions with professionalism and courtesy. My son has anxiety; however, Khan's demeanor and etiquette always set the tone for a pleasant instruction behind the wheel. I am so pleased that my son was under his tutelage, as he now has greater confidence and awareness. I wholeheartedly recommend Khan and The Atlas Driving School without reservation to teach anyone interested in being a confident driver and learning the rules of the road. Update: My son passed his road test on 12/26/2025 with flying colors. He received a perfect score. I am assured that my son is a safe and trustworthy driver. I told you this school was great!!!

Completely disappointed in this driving school. We had a drivers test scheduled in the morning, and…read morethe DMV already instructs you to arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This driving school informed us that they would arrive at the Wethersfield DMV to the dmv at 8:45 AM. The person delivering the car arrived LATE. WE arrived a whole hour early sitting in the parking, practiced, and waited patiently. We called the phone number provided MULTIPLE times and it went straight to voicemail. Not one single call back to reassure us that they would be arriving shortly or they were late. And lo and behold THEY SHOW UP in a car that was different from what my driver practiced in. Had the delivery person came earlier, that would've eased our worries by thousand. You can imagine that for a driver it's already very nerve wracking to take a drivers test for the first time in a new location. If you tell the student that the driver will arrive with the car at a certain time, the VERY least you can do is ARRIVE on time. That way the driver is given adequate amount of time to adjust the seat and mirrors to their liking. Or GIVE the student a call back! The man who delivered the car late, had the seat AND the wheel low and didn't care to tell my driver how to adjust the wheel. After the test, I told him I was quite displeased in him arriving after the time they told us. And he said he got the car in west Hartford and brought the car that they gave him. MIND YOU the DMV is 15 minutes away. If we PAID money for you to provide the vehicle, YOU should be getting to the dmv on time. You're a business and providing a service, DO YOUR JOB! What a shame! Prepare to work with people who well over charge! $700 dollars down the fucking drain. Interesting how much the school charges for 30 minute lessons and the so called quality cars they have you drive in. Do yourself a favor and work with NEXT STREET DRIVING SCHOOL. I worked with them in Danbury and had an excellent, non-anxiety inducing experience. Funnily enough, the car my driver practiced with passed US AS WE WERE LEAVING. The man who delivered the car tried calling us back. Do fucking better!

From start to finish, everything was smooth and super helpful. Shoutout to my Zoom class instructor, Crystal -- she was incredibly informative and made the lessons easy to follow. She broke things down in a way that made sense and helped me feel more confident every step of the way. Major props to my in-car driving instructor, Tyler B. -- hands down one of the best teachers I've had for anything. He kept things real, was super funny and kind, and gave me the best driving techniques, like the 3-line method that helped me kill it on the road and especially with parking. Tyler made learning to drive way less stressful and way more chill, and I'm really grateful for his guidance. Communication and scheduling were smooth, and the school even let me use one of their cars for the DMV test, which made the whole process that much easier. Thanks to them, I've officially got my L today!! If you're looking to get your license the right way -- go with The Next Street. You won't regret it.

Their Zoom classes were very informative, communication went smoothly with scheduling, and both of my instructors from this location, Constantine and Jason were very kind, willing to help me out when needed, helping me learn to comfortably take to the roads and highway, and the school was kind enough to even lend me their car to use in my DMV test, and now I've finally got my own license! Thanks again, I definitely can recommend your school to any future aspiring drivers!

You can't get out of the deal, to begin with, when you find out how bad it is. There is no way you can become an MCSE unless you have access to all the software, a computer system, and at least 40 hours/week to practice. They had people in this who were trying to get certified, after being laid off. Wow. Bad choice. Even people with a lot of computer experience, like 20 years, had problems. The reason was that the Microsoft courses sucked. The tests were even worse- you have to know the entire software range, because the tests, which are very tricky, test the entire range, not just the piece of software they allegedly test competence in. Did I mention you have to pay for the texts, which are grossly expensive. I thought they would schedule me for courses; turned out I had to be very proactive, and register for courses myself. I had an understanding boss, who let me have more time than most students get. The school says they have great instructors, and they do. That doesn't make up for a crummy text, though, that costs several time what it should. You are better off getting the software, and studying on your own. I realized how bad a mistake I had made, about 2 months in, but there was no out. For some people, with lots and lots of experience, this might be ok. For the people they mostly market to, it is far worse than a used car dealership. Their salespeople will say whatever you want to hear, to close the sale. Another really cool thing they do, is when you schedule a course, they cancel it if there aren't enough signups. Which means that the really important course you needed might occur during the period you paid for. They'll let you extend- for a high, high fee. I complained to the owner about this, and he gave me a couple of toothbrushes. Well, I used them, to get some value, but I was cheated out of a $600 course. Using a $300 toothbrush wasn't really what I had hoped to get out of the courses. Another thing: Microsoft changes the courses, and the tests, every 2-3 years, so you have to master the new software, and take the new tricky tests, for each piece of software, every 2-3 years. The tests cost over $100 per. For the MCSE, at that time, there were 7 tests, so that's a lot of study time, plus well over $700 every 2-3 years, to maintain. Did the salesman mention any of this? Heh heh. Of course not. The salesman told one truckdriver that he could get a great job after being certified a CNE. Only problem was he lied. The truckdriver was upset. But what could he do? You don't see many reviews of this place, because most of their students don't document like I do. Their programming courses are ok, if you have an extensive, lengthy background in that. Their Microsoft Office courses are ok, I've taken those, though I still get the books, and learn by doing.
