We have done a few camps now through Global Art San Diego to help fill in activity gaps when school is out and to give the kiddos an opportunity to learn art through different mediums/materials. As a mother who's always seeking new opportunities to expand my child's experience/ expression, I am thrilled that the kiddos enjoy this art studio so much. The kids always come back asking to attend another class because they had so much fun, made new friends, and are so proud of their final art work. I am always surprised with the art work they come home with... the art is very creative, fun, and beautiful. I love that they introduce different materials (different paints, clays, etc.) and the kids really take ownership in their art work. We proudly display many of their art pieces and even send some to grandparents to enjoy. It's a cute little family owned branch located in the same plaza at Bad Ass Coffee/ Pitchers Sports Bar in Rancho Penasquitos. Ms. Alicia is the Principal/ Branch Owner. She exercises strong communication, is very approachable and kind, and coordinates great lessons (so there's new activities throughout the week). I also appreciate that she has a team of assistants to coordinate each class and to ensure the kids are supported. Most of all, she creates wonderful memories during the moments the kids are out of school (saving the sanity of parents balancing work). We truly love our experience through Global Art SD PQ and intend to return as often as we can. Definitely recommended. read more

Alicia and the teachers did an amazing party for my 8 years old daughter. The theme for the party was: Roses (3D clay painting). All guest learned new ways to draw and how to work with clay. My daughter enrolled in the full seven weeks of art camp and I am so impressed with the various art projects Global Art San Diego PQ has planned for both AM and PM sessions week after week. It gives kiddos the opportunity to explore various art materials and mediums at a young age and boost their confidence in creating works of art. My daughter is very proud of the art that she makes everyday and looks forward to bringing home her work. I also feel very assured that my daughter is at a safe place and the teachers there can work with a group of young children with different needs and skill sets. 3 years later and they are as amazing as the first time we joined. Back then it was my one kid. Now I have both kids going here. They always enjoy their time and ask to go back. The art prices they create are worth keeping and displaying. You can see the detail in what was created and taught by their instructor. read more

I enrolled my 11 year old and 8 year old in one week of camp at Global Art. It was $200 for the week- 2.5 hours/day, which was a bit pricey, but worth it. They both love art and loved their time here. I was impressed that the kids worked on one piece of art for the entire time, really focusing on quality. The craft was age appropriate for all the varying ages that were there and they came home each day with a really beautiful piece of art that they were proud of. read more

Parents, be warned: our daughter was at art camp at this school last week, had to sit next to 2 other kids who were sniffling, coughing and had runny nose... and despite the fact that our daughter is vaccinated and was wearing a mask, she contracted COVID- which is running through each family member of our household now. All because parents were NOT RESPONSIBLE and sent their sick kids to this camp AND because sick children are not being screened for symptoms when they come in in the morning. Honestly, a good place, age appropriate assignments and activities for kids but strange and dangerous policy on not screening sick kids during a pandemic and with surging COVID cases again. read more

Love love love this place! I wish I can attend it myself , seeing all the beautiful crafts that my kids brought home. Their arts are being displayed in our home or gifted to our family members because we are so proud of their works. Of course they can't take all the credits. In fact it was the creativity this studio provides and the amazing staff who constantly bringing new ideas and making this fun. Both of my kids (8 and 6) started more than two years ago. They have joined their spring break and summer break classes throughout the years. It turns out to be quite affordable since they provides all the materials, not to mention babysit the kids. I had mentioned this to other moms too and they can't agree more after seeing how enjoyable it is for their children. The place itself is very clean and well organized. I felt safe all along to send my kids there even during pandemic time. They were very good at wearing masks and social distancing but of course now they are not required to. I am so glad to have known about this place and hope more people can give that a try too! read more

We started going here during COVID. My son was struggling with anxiety and being away from normal life. I saw an add on Facebook for a Halloween project. All the safety protocols were in place and I contacted Ms. Alicia. She was very understanding of my son's anxiety and took him under her wing. After the first class, he was ready to live at Global Art! He's been going twice a week for several months now. Not only is his artwork noticeably improving, so has his confidence and interest in things other than his iPad. He is always excited to go. He has worked with all the teachers and they are all kind, patient and loving. The prices are reasonable and classes are long enough where you can get errands done. My daughter loves Global Art!!!! She went for a session this summer and she liked it so much that she has been back 5 times since then. She even took some of her friends there and they all loved. We were very excited when we found out that this amazing Art School was opening in San Diego. Signed up my 2 kids for the Foundation and Basic classes respectively. The kids have been enjoying their art lessons tremendously. I am personally impressed by Global Art's classical way of teaching art to children. Teacher Alicia explains everything clearly and patiently. Within a few lessons, both my kids' coloring skills have improved tremendously! My daughter did the afternoon summer camp at Global Art and absolutely loved it!! She was there 2 hours a day for 5 days and did everything from acrylic painting to clay, stenciling, batik painting and drawing! We are definitely doing this camp again next summer. My daughters had an amazing time over a week of all day spring break camp. Teacher Alicia and the teachers spent a lot of effort into preparing a curriculum with a variety of experience from acrylic painting, pastel and coloring pencil to modeling clay and combinations of different medium into an art piece. Even the crafts involved painting rocks, painting on canvas, cutting and pasting. Children visualizes how they want the arts to look like and the teachers provide guidance on skills and technique. The arts class shows my children how arts can look like and our families and friends have been commenting on the quality of their work and how much effort they put into making arts. I caught my daughter humming while painting and she's only 4. She has the confidence and enjoy the flow of making arts, thanks to Teacher Alicia! Amazing arts studio we wish we can go everyday! My daughters and her friend kept asking when they can go back to arts class again. read more
