There is a small white dog named Tucker who is routinely allowed to roam the premises unleashed and unmanaged. He is reactive, barks at clients, runs toward people, and jumps on them. This is not an isolated incident. Today, Tucker was at the entrance barking at me when I arrived, so I waited outside until his owner retrieved him before entering. Once I was inside, she put him back down, and he immediately ran toward me and began jumping on me. I had to physically push him away while she called for him. She eventually retrieved him and took him around the corner. A short time later, Tucker came running back toward me again. At that point, I had to go into a bathroom and close the door to get away from him while waiting for his owner to retrieve him. This is unacceptable in a professional establishment. For clarity, my objection is not to dogs being present. There are other dogs in this building, including a working service dog and another small dog, and I have never had an issue with them. The issue is allowing a reactive dog to roam freely and repeatedly approach and jump on clients without effective restraint or management. I understand this has been an ongoing concern, which makes the continued lack of management particularly frustrating. Clients should be able to enter and move through a business without being barked at, jumped on, pursued, or forced to hide in a bathroom to avoid someone's dog. Tucker needs to be leashed, contained, or kept out of client-accessible areas. Allowing this to continue is irresponsible and unfair both to clients and to the dog.

The card did not have an expiration date printed on it, but I was told it had expired. Instead of honoring the gift card, the business charged my credit card that was on file and kept my gift card, telling me it needed to be shown to the manager. I was assured a manager would call me the following day. No one called. Over the next several days, I made multiple phone calls and was repeatedly told someone would get back to me. Again, no one did. When I went back to the business simply to retrieve my gift card, I was told they didn't have it. The conversation then escalated to the point where my husband and I were told to leave or the police would be called. I reached out to the owner directly by email and never received a response. I have since filed a complaint with the Missouri Attorney General because I was unable to resolve the matter with the business. Everyone can make a mistake, but what disappointed me most was the complete lack of communication and customer service. Had someone simply returned my calls and worked with me to resolve the issue, this review probably wouldn't exist. Edit after receiving your response calling me a liar: I messaged you again with my phone number, my husband's phone number, and my email address. We still have received no phone call, email, or any messages. There is a law in Missouri that gift cards do not expire. Your associate told me you were out of town when we called and came in, and that we were not a priority. After reading other people's reviews, I see that you definitely do not value your clients.

One thing I absolutely love about this company (aside from its amazing products) is the amount of customer service care Lark has for its customers. I received a friendly reply from Abby shortly after with an explanation and that she'd get everything sorted out no problem! However, it provided NO help whatsoever in removing my dark pigmentation or melasma. I initially sought treatment for melasma. The laser treatment was completely ineffective, and the subsequent Enlighten Depigmentation System triggered a severe full-body rash approximately 2.5 years ago. The rash was so intense that it required rocky and enormous medical helps to calm it down. After that difficult period, I managed my skin issue on my own. Through more than 2.5 years of focused self home care, I successfully cleared approximately 99% of my melasma using a simple daily regimen centered on Vanicream products. The results came entirely from my self home treatment -- NOT from this facility. A. For Professionals: If a client discloses that they have sensitive skin, I strongly recommend implementing a 72-hour patch test followed by a 5-day monitoring period as a standard precautionary step. This is far more effective than relying solely on a liability waiver. B. For Future Customers: Laser treatments or chemical peels might provide temporary surface-level improvement and a short-term glow, but if underlying internal factors (such as toxin accumulation) are not addressed, pigmentation issues like melasma are very likely to return. In my case, the clinical treatments from this facility offered zero benefit and instead caused a severe reaction. C. Key Recommendations from My Experience: a. Sun Protection: Practice absolute, consistent sun protection every day. b. Dietary Focus: - Avoid highly processed foods - Minimize high-sugar foods - Reduce high-salt intake - Eat plenty of green vegetables and a wide variety of colorful produce c. Maintain well-balanced daily nutrition d. Incorporate Vitamin C serum into your skincare routine e. Stress Management: Incorporate daily meditation and deep breathing exercises to support overall detoxification. This journey reinforced that sustainable skin health comes from gentle, consistent self home effort and internal wellness -- NOT from the treatments I received at this facility at all.
