Update- immediately upon seeing my review, Glo Tanning reached out and has taken the steps necessary to improve my experience. While the pricing hiccup wasn't ideal, they've demonstrated superior customer service, both in store and in handling my complaint. I have no doubt I will get my money's worth in my membership experience with them. Just signed up for a membership. I purchased a tanning lotion at a "40% discount." Found out afterwards that the discounted rate was still 75% higher than what I could've paid on Amazon. Not a great start. read more

I had a coupon i filled out online for a free service and i wanted to use it. they gave me a tour of the place and were really nice at first. At the end of the tour they were telling me about the memberships and i wasn't interested in purchasing one at the moment. The girl who was helping me out became extremely rude and was telling her other coworkers who were also being rude to me since i didn't sign up. she then proceeded to tell me that one session isn't even worth it if i won't have a membership. From the moment I came in I knew I was trying to be sold a monthly membership that I was not interested in. I wanted to just get a normal spray tan and had come in with a coupon (that I guess the fine print said I had to get a Monthly membership to use it). I listened to her schpeel and reluctantly signed up for a monthly membership to get my "free spray tan" (that was actually $19). I only agreed to it because I was told that I could cancel anytime. Well, cut to the part where my spray tan was SO dark I couldn't even run errands like I had planned to after. It was also pretty splotchy-they tried to sell me on multiple products to help with this but I've never bought tanning products before or ever had a tan come out that splotchy (I've been getting spray tans since I was in high school). Then when I tried to call to end my "membership" I knew I wasn't going to use they tried to argue that I had waited too long and they were going to be processing my card for the next months payment. I argued with the customer service rep who agreed to waive the charge, thank goodness. All and all I'd say the experience was very much money grabby and slimy. didn't feel personalized/ individualized. But I guess I should have probably expected all that. read more

The staff is always welcoming and friendly. I come here on my lunch break. Unfortunately the last couple of times I have had to wait for a bed, or for them to clean the beds or the beds are open but those doing other services have those beds. Which to me if someone has other services and if they have 15 minutes left those beds should be available for those who are walking in. By the time their other service is complete, someone could have tanned and the bed they were waiting would be available as the typical bed is 10 minutes. read more

I come to Glo frequently for ONE-Time spray tans. I've never been interested in a membership. I've tried it in the past at other places and it's not for me. I just don't get them enough for it to be worth my money. Plus, I shouldn't have to explain why I don't want a membership. I liked coming here because they weren't pushy - HOWEVER, something must have recently changed with management. There was no one in line when I got here. They made me fill out a full profile asking me about my goals including cellulite reduction, weight loss, teeth whitening, acne reduction etc. I didn't see the value of having to fill that out for a "profile" when I was there for a one time spray... then, they proceeded to give me a tour of the place even though I told them I've been here before and they explained every aspect of spray tans. (I will say the girl was nice and knowledgeable, I just was not interested in having to sit through her pitch). She tried to upsell me 100 times during checkout, when I led with "I only want a 1 time spray." She continued anyway. Then finally finished and now there are probably 3 other people in front of me now. I had plans to meet someone and now am going to be late. I've been here over an hour. I come here all the time and they've never done this. I understand places have to upsell. I used to work at a restaurant and it was a requirement. But asking once then taking the answer at face value will suffice... you don't have to continue asking about other options/add ons. No means no.. I probably won't come back if it's going to be like this every time. I understand the girl was just doing her job, but I think a line needs to be drawn in the sand. UPDATE: Customer service did reach out to me about an hour after leaving this review. I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. They left a voicemail and consistently called back. She offered to refund me for my experience, but I expressed my concern of having to fill out a profile each future visit and sit through the same process again. She said she would pass along my concerns then asked me to take down my review. I will say it was a very speedy customer service response, which I appreciated. She wanted to make it right, but I think to ensure I return I would want to be guaranteed they would take my "no" as a "no". I upped the stars from 2 to 3 for the quick action. read more

I have been coming to glo for almost 2 years and specifically the glow on Broadway for a year. I have loved coming in multiple times a week and have always had great customer service! The past week when I have been coming in I've been put in the wrong bed, forgot about in the lobby and just all around not the service I had received in the past. This could be the cause of new employees and some things can be understandable. that being said, I do not want to feel the need to switch locations to get better customer service again. read more

I came in 2 days ago and tried to purchase a single UV tan and the girl, while nice, tried her best to sell me a monthly membership that I did not want. i understand that she was trying to save me money, but I simply wanted to purchase a tan with no further obligation. I don't know even mind over paying since I don't go all of the time. I liked the results, so I thought I would go again today. I went in and tried to do the same thing I did 2 days ago and the girl told me that was no longer an option and now I would need to pay $70 plus they would charge me for eye-wear(which they made me purchase 2 days ago) and something called top shelf. As soon as we walked into the salon we immediately felt judged. The staff was extremely rude and impatient. As we were talking to the staff they seemed annoyed that we were wondering about their policy. The employees were disrespectful and seemed upset that we wanted to use their services. We understood that there was a policy that states "Underage teens must have parent consent to use their services". We asked the staff if a Facetime call or Phone call would be acceptable as parents consent and we were rudely shut down. We felt that we were being very understanding about their policy but we were not treated with the same amount of respect that we felt we were giving the employees. Me and my girlfriends were extremely excited to go take advantage of the free service weekend. Immediately as we walk in, we were met with an unwelcoming vibe. We were not allowed to get any services done because of the apparent policy that underage teens needs a guardian with them to be able to get anything done. We asked a couple questions to try to figure out our dilemma and unfortunately we were met with extreme rudeness and judgement. The workers were impatient and not kind to us. Me and my friends went to get a spray tan this weekend. When we walked in they told us they couldn't service us unless we had a legal guardians verbal consent. We we're fine with this and went and sat on one of the waiting rooms couches to see if our parents could come to give verbal consent. This is when we started to get dirty looks from the workers and started to feel like they were judging us. When we went to the front to ask a few questions they were extremely rude, seemed annoyed that we even had questions, and gave unclear answers. Went today for some relaxing time. I got everything but that. People waiting for someone to set there beds up after already being checked in. I waited 20 minutes for a wet pod. That's fine, but don't check me in and put me in a room that you don't know anything about the equipment. Didn't know how to even turn it on. Then you say you will send someone in and you don't! Why because she's still trying to set up the other people that never got set up. Finally got into my bed and never made it to a spray tan. Another 10 to 15 minutes later I just left. I go there to try and relax. Please put more knowledgeable people in your spas. It's kind of a crapshoot of the service you're going to get read more

I have been going to two different Glo locations in Edmond for several months. Both have been a great experience. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to help. I got my first spray tan and they walked me through the process and what to expect. The tan turned out great. I'm a big fan of the spa wellness cocoon. I would recommend Glo to anyone. read more

BEST SERVICE IN ALL OF EDMOND!!!! Seriously...props to management for hiring the kindest employees to run your lovely business!! I have never had a bad experience with their guest services. I've been in twice now and considering getting a membership. All the girls who have helped me out the past couple times have been absolute angels and are super understanding. I've only ever gotten a sunless spray with levels medium and also dark, I love the results & typically last long!! I used the red light booth once and it was alright; I assume you have to use it consistently to notice any difference. I also tried out the hydrating cocoon and it was incredible!! In addition, the place is always super clean and taken care of. They totally treat all clients like princesses and you feel like you're at the spa in there. Prices are perfect for the quality you are getting, and very justifiable. I do wish that they had a spray tanning package but maybe they'll consider in the future. Highly recommend!! read more
