After receiving a recommendation from an acquaintance, I decided to try Glo for a short haircut. What a horrible disappointment. After showing the stylist specific photos of the kind of cut I wanted and explaining it in detail, I thought she knew what I wanted and hoped she knew what she was doing. I ended up with a style that looked nothing like what I showed her. Don't know if it was lack of talent, listening skills or just didn't care. Now, $70 later I look like a disheveled, aging lesbian with a terribly uneven very short haircut complete with one side longer than the other. The entire soulless experience with Glo was also distasteful to me. Better to support other small, local business owners. Wish I had listened to my gut. Never again! I see Kristen has just replied to my review by saying I reviewed the wrong Glo. You're the Glo in Florence OR on Hwy 101in the strip center that's just around the corner from This Bud's for You, so you are the correct place I was reviewing. My daughter waited 4 years to donate her hair and Kristen made it possible! Everyone was lovely and accommodating. She got her hair cut but she also got some tips on maintenance and styling. The whole salon had a great vibe with nails, tanning, boutique, and more. So happy we chose Glo! read more

I enjoy every appointment that I have had in the past two years. It is very easy to see why there is a waiting list to get appointments. Sarah does my nails every time and I look forward to to visiting with her while she works. All of the professionals that I have encountered at GLO have always been pleasant and courteous. I love the new decorations for the pedicure station and all of the relaxing stations in the salon. I moved here from a large metropolitan area that had a nail salon on every street corner, and I never felt the desire to be faithful to any one for any length of time. Today, if I had to find another salon, I would probably give up my nails. read more

The owner replied to my review and said that they spoke to me on the phone multiple times and "tried to make it right". NO THEY DIDN'T! I tried to resolve the issue multiple times with them, and all they did was refuse to refund me AT ALL because "the nail techs are independent contractors". I requested that Sara call me back THREE times so I could speak with her directly, and she NEVER did! I finally filed a dispute with my bank and did get a refund, but ALL Glo ever offered me was a %10 off coupon towards my next purchase!! (what an insult!) read more

I was so ready to love this place I first had a blow-out. 5 stars by Kristen. Next visit, I asked for long layers.I actually didn't get them, just a bit of a a cut on the side . Because I 've had some really hot hair people do my hair I do know what's what.When I paid my bill I made a mental note. (One more chance). She then made my next appointment for December,this was September. I was hoping to get something before Thanksgiving..HA! There was a cancellation so I was moved up. But only for a blow-out.Then I was re-scehe for December again at at that time I was told my bill would be at that time.This appointment was for partial highlights only. $150.00-$175.00. I've had my hair done in La, NY and Hamburg for less..Even Maui! At The Ritz. Kristan is good with hair but really? I always gave good tips, was on time but I feel like I won't go back because I had an anniversary cruise planned.My husband had his passport stolen & a few other things.I called to cancel while the sheriff was here & they had no mercy. I wasn't going anywhere. Yet I got an invoice for half the amount a few days later.My husband said he would not pay in advance for a appointment punishment(December) also who did these people think they were, Miserable business plan.Overcharge,Big cancellation fees and book clients out 3 months! read more

My husband and I moved to Florence in December 2021. This Spring I was ready for a professional to cut and color my hair. But being so new to the area it was definitely a guessing game as to where to go. Doing some research I had narrowed it down to a few choices. I then asked a local women I was doing business with whom she liked and she suggested Glo. This was one of my selections also. I went there hoping to get my hair done before some friends arrived for a brief visit but discovered that they were booked out for at least 3 weeks. I made a decision that that was actually a good sign and made an appointment. Janae cut and colored my hair. I have fine hair and wanted a bob cut and a fine weave. I was delighted with her expertise and loved what she did. I will remain a loyal customer of hers. When your hair is done properly by a talented stylist it makes all the difference in how you feel! read more

It is completely affordable considering the quality of service you receive. In a big city finding such a quality stylist as Britney Rainwater could cost around $300. read more

This is for Sara the nail tech and I suppose overall business practice. I had an appointment for a pedicure. I thought it was 1:30 and I was a running a few minutes late so I called to let them know. I found out it was actually 1:20. That is on me, I take accountability. But...I walked in at 1:33. Was told it was too late. The receptionist, doing as she was told so it's not on her, said I was a no show and needed to pay the 50% fee. I asked her if there was anyway I can just have a quick soak and polish? I would gladly pay for full pedi. They had scheduled an hour for me and there was time. She said she would ask. The answer was no. I am so disappointed in this business practice. I've worked in hospitality for over 30 years. There are policies, yes, but sometimes you make exceptions and accommodate when there is a way. In full disclosed, the owner did offer to waive my no show fee, but I insisted on paying it. Rules are rules. I am a very loyal customer. My nail tech I have been with for 15 years. My hair stylist, whom is amazing and is the only reason I will be returning there, I've been with for 5 years and hopefully get to continue seeing. But I will never buy any additional products or use any additional services at this business. I felt as if, not only was I being disciplined, but I was not welcomed there. At least by the nail tech who would not even come out and meet me. I was there the week prior and while I was getting my hair done, I heard her yell at the receptionist to make sure another customer gets charged for being late. Maybe this is her way of getting paid and not having to work?? All I know is it was very bad experience. read more

Its a place like this that stereotypes professional women. It appears the only thing they can so is answer the phone and hit the power button. I asked for lotion to be put back for me to buy (hard to find lotion), traveled over an hour to their shop and they had closed for the day..a waste of almost three hours found trip on top of rescheduling car work. I spent three days trying to reach them and left messages. Finally reached Mackenzie who confirmed the lotion was still there, and she promised to have Erica call. When I never heard from Erica, I called back and was told by Mackenzie she sold the lotion after getting off the phone with me and said she was sorry, but that she also didn't give Erica the message either and offered to sell different lotion. I am still waiting on Erica to call me back, but I doubt anyone can figure out how to makes calls out. This has been a wasted week of my life and complete inconvenience for something so simple. I will also add, I missed out on 20% off on lotion at the local place when I bought tanning sessions because I was promised this other lotion. read more
