History
Established in 2017.
I have been in the antiques and collectibles business for the past 23 years. The business was started in Ottawa, Ontario and then moved out to Calgary, Alberta in 2001. I was involved in two antique malls with multiple dealers renting booth spaces. I also was mobile doing antique shows in Western Canadian cities in Alberta including but not limited to Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Okotoks, Bragg Creek, and also in Abbotsford, BC, Burnaby, BC. We relocated to St. Catharines, Ontario in 2016, and my first store front brick-and-mortar location "Glitzy Jools & Antiques" opened on March 1, 2017.
Meet the Business Owner: Paula M.
I got the passion for this business as a young child. My parents collected various things and used to "drag" me out for treasure hunting. My Mom loved antique china, sterling silver flatware, crystal and antique books. My Dad collected coins, old tools, old shaving mugs and mustache cups, and open salt cellars. My passion since I was young is vintage jewelry. I loved going to auctions, flea markets, antique shops and garage sales. Over the years, I gathered the confidence that I just may be able to make this work as a business and be my own boss. I have been blessed to see this come to life and do something I love and that is fun at the same time.
