So you can imagine my surprise when I walked in for this treatment and the fish spa is no longer there. The staff were friendly, explained for the change of treatments now available and with the limited time I had I went for a simple manicure. The chitchat was a bit bare but they did a good job and I had a little hand massage which made my hands super soft from the lotion they used.

Asked for payment in cash upfront, flatly refused to show my friend and I the glue or lashes she would be using on our eyes. Do not come here, this is a suspect business with no sanitation or assurance of actual skill set in applying lashes. It's too important to take a chance with a woman who operates a business like this; ive had lashes many times in many cities and would never proceed without a clear explanation of process, product choice and customer service. Anyway, someone recommended this salon to me and I haven't looked back. Vilma, the owner, is an excellent colourist and stylist and I've never yet been disappointed. She is also really lovely and the salon has a relaxed, friendly vibe. Stylish rather than trendy I would say, and not trying too hard to be cool like some others do. The prices are very reasonable and there are always great deals on. My two sisters also get their hair done there and one of them lives in Deptford so it must be good for her to travel all that way!

I love that I can just go along and have a chat and not feel like I'm in the way like you do at some salons. The owner, Vilma is lovely and she is a fantastic colourist and stylist. I love my hair every time. It's a really natural shiny blonde (if I do say so myself!). She even made the blonde to brown thing work without the awful murky in-between stage which is pretty impressive! I also get my nails done with TLC Nails and Beauty in the upstairs salon which is great. I never thought my nails could look nice until I went there. Anyway, I can't recommend this place enough, so if you're sick of paying for overpriced chain salons like Headmasters give Shine a try.
