This is a great place. The entire staff is accommodating and engaged. From the moment you walk in…read morethe door, you just feel welcome. I just finished a full sleeve project with Joe DeJoya, and the whole experience was great. I got to a point where I was looking forward to not only getting the tattoo work done, but also to hanging out at the shop. Joe was amazing. The sleeve turned out better than I had dared imagine. We did a traditional Japanese dragon and had a challenging previous tattoo to cover, and the result is stunning. Over a 7 month period, Joe transformed my left arm into a piece of beautiful art. I am so proud to wear the result every day, and I look forward to planning the right arm with him. When we finished, it was actually kind of bittersweet. It felt great to be done, but I will miss spending regular time there watching the piece develop. I have found the perfect place to continue this journey, and I feel that there is an artist at Damascus who is a great fit for every style, and the environment there is one that really communicates how well the staff supports each other. They seem to genuinely act as a family. The way they check out each others work, the way they collaborate, the banter throughout the day, the sense of community at lunch - not only are the artists amazing at what they do, they do it in an environment that is a real pleasure to be in. I simply cannot recommend Damascus Tattoo Company, and specifically Joe DeJoya highly enough.

Can't recommend Captain Gordon, Christie, and Pari enough!!!!!…read moreI've gotten 20 piercings and 2 tattoos done by Time Bomb since 2019 and have had nothing but amazing experiences every single visit. Can't forget to mention that their shop is filled with the "Curiosities" portion which will entertain you for hours. I spot new trinkets and oddities every time I'm there. If I had to use one word to describe operations it would be "CLEAN". Their sanitation protocols are beyond medical standards and the term "professionalism" would be an understatement. Even as a seasoned piercing client, they're all still diligent in ensuring I'm updated and informed on aftercare practices as well. Advanced piercings, helix, lobe, and nipples, a wrist tattoo, and spine piece later, I'll always chose Time Bomb as my body mod providers. A full bodysuit tattoo piece is in the near future, and I can't wait!!!! I would and still do recommend Time Bomb to everyone I come across. Services: Ear piercing, Color ink tattoos, Tattoo aftercare, Piercings, Tattoo design, Female tattoos, Tattoos Requested style: Custom, easy to heal, low maintenance, and consultation in placement were all part of the process in piercing and tattoo decisions. Their team of professionals were able to answer all my questions and give sound advice in how I'd experience and heal from the new pieces. Cleanliness: I've walked into doctor's offices less clean than Time Bomb's shop. They take cleanliness and sanitation to a new level and it helps make the experience feel safe and cared for Artists: My piercers were Alden, Jasper, Christie, Captain, and Pari, tattoo artists are John and Captain. I'd recommend all of them, although Pari was supernaturally fast with her piercing experience (3 helix's). No joke, it took under 5 minutes to place, prep, pierce, and clean up. The piercings themselves took maybe a minute and a half. Both Pari and Christie made the piercings hurt less than expected and have such a skilful and delicate touch that they're experts in their industry.

Pari, who installed my newly purchased jewelry, was quick and sanitary. I would recommend them for piercing but since I haven't had a tattoo there, I cannot speak to those services. Nice little shop.

This might very well be the best shop in Maryland and one of the top on the east coast. Wish I was…read morebeing bias but just go to their Instagram and check out their list of artists. Everyone here is as good as it gets. Both men and women artists here take their jobs seriously and kick every tattoo right in the ass. I don't think I'm 7 years of being tattoo'd that I've wanted to be in a shop so often. You're in an old Victorian style mansion with giant glass windows in the middle of downtown Frederick, Maryland, enjoying life and getting tattoo'd. 10/10 experience. I personally go to Matt Torres @tengutorres on Instagram. My opinion, which is why you're here anyways, is that Matt is the best Japanese artist in the DMV. Out of all the artists I've been too, he cares the most about his customers. If you don't want a big traditional Japanese tattoo, maybe stop reading and go to another very talented artist in the shop (literally anyone, even their apprentice kicks ass) but if you do want something like this, Matt is it man. You get a zoom meeting to plan, you work together, he plans it out, he shows up early every time, he's ready. He studies his work, he studies the Japanese tattooing style, he reads up. You know what you're getting is better than the next and feel better self confidence wise. I promise you will never be disappointed in Matt's booth.

About a month ago I went in for a memorial tattoo. I had chosen Bulletts based on word of mouth and…read morelots of positive feedback. I am so beyond upset by my experience there. Copy and pasted below is the email I sent to them and got NO response at all. It has been a week and I didn't even get an apology much less any effort to right this wrong. I have cried over this. I am not one to just put tattoos on my body for the sake of it. This is a memorial tattoo and I am so glad at this point that I didn't get my late husband's thumbprint yet because I would be even more upset if that was ruined. I tried to handle this with out laying it out there because I know mistakes happen, but the fact that I have received NO response at all to this email has made it clear that they don't actually care. Hello, I came in about 2 weeks ago for a tattoo. Despite the fact that I had emailed and confirmed with Haleigh on Monday that I was coming for an appointment with her when I arrived that Thursday, my appointment was not in the schedule and she wasn't even ready for me at all. She had a different appointment scheduled at the time I was supposed to be seen Apparently there are glitches with your scheduling software. I try not be a pain and when a different artist was offered to me as she was free at the time I said ok. Lainey took over and just did the nose prints from my dogs since that was basically a copy and paste, since absolutely nothing had been worked up for the other part of my memorial tattoo, which is my late husband's thumbprint as the body of a hummingbird. I was so excited to get the tattoo I agreed to switch artists figuring that anyone in the shop would be good enough to do it well. Though I was already disappointed that I was not seeing the original artist, nor had she even started to work up any options that I thought I would have seen and been able to discuss ahead of time. Well, there is a decent amount of blow out on my tattoo. I am extremely disappointed because this tattoo means so much to me. As far as I understand there is nothing that can be done to remedy this and I am now forever stuck with it. I just wanted you to know how upset I am over this. I actually tried to do it right this time. Found who was supposed to be a reputable and sought after tattoo shop, took the time to come in for 2 different consults, and sent multiple emails with pictures. And this tattoo that means so much to me is blurry and there is random ink under my skin. I've attached pictures. There are spots that are supposed to be there, but the blow out is especially noticeable on the lower nose print. As I said, to my understanding there is nothing that can be done to fix this. I will be having all my other work done elsewhere and have no intention of ever recommending your shop to anyone. Sincerely, Amelia

I have gone to Bullet and Amy, I love both and appreciate each style. I am always happy and always treated like family. They are responsive to care questions (recent tattoo (giant piece) healing at a different pace then past pieces, no issues but I had follow up care questions which were answered within the hour by email). These artists are great and incredibly fun. This is a true died in the wool tattoo shop. I have been tattooed, my friends and father - all with incredible results.
