12/5/20 Excellent experience here at Glick's Greenhouse in the gorgeous country! Glicks does a beautiful job executing a lovely Christmas Poinsettia Water display. It was my first time. My friends had gone last year and I enjoyed the photographs. So I thought it would be fun to go this year. They are doing timed admissions and the tickets are free! You just need to sign up to reserve your tickets ahead of time. Wreaths are on display promoting businesses in the area along the walls. Very beautiful lighted tunnel, fountains and Christmas decor are in the tour! In the middle of the tour we were surprised with complimentary hotdogs and kraut to eat there or take home along w complimentary water. Very nice! Bring cash to tip and bring your wallet because they have a darling shopping area. We bought two cement pig planters and we bought a small decorative picture. Highly recommend! read more

Amazing Christmas Display of poinsettias! I have never seen such a beautiful arrangement of flowers . The theme of the Twelve Days of Christmas was cleverly portrayed throughout the greenhouse and brought oohs and aahs at every turn. read more

I first started going to Glick's about 3 years ago, and it has become my first stop for plants every spring and throughout the summer. Glick's has the best prices around for perennials and an impressive selection of herbs. The peaceful Oley Valley location, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly staff makes it just feel good to just be there. Truly a local treasure. The Christmas poinsettia show is a sight to see. While you're there be sure to walk across the road to Manatawny Creek Farm for over 900 (no that's not a typo) varieties of daylilies plus irises. read more

Fantastic level of expertise and selection in the beautiful Oley Valley. May is a great time to get good value and a wide assortment of vegetable plants and colorful annuals and perennials. Plenty of parking and help. All terrain push carts available for people who are shopping alone and want to stock up. I really enjoy this particular Nursery. In the winter they have a wonderful poinsettias festivals for Christmas. Great member of community and sponsor of many school events. read more

Glick's Greenhouse is a treasure! It's set in a lovely countryside, but it's very easy to get to. The people are very friendly & share their knowledge when asked. Great plants at Great prices. This is an old time farmer not a slick chain. He grows what grows in the area. He does try new stuff. But so far all his new stuff works well in my garden. They also carry nice preplanted pots and hanging baskets. As Long as I water them they do great. Glicks has a nice eye for what works. Get on their news letter if you are local. At christmass time they have a great poinsettia show. Keep the kids busy while you are looking for plants by bringing a stick. There is an old collie there that will play fetch for as long as they toss the stick. I always play with the dog when I go out there. Located in the middle of some beautiful farm country, you'll find Glick's. Love that Spring has finally sprung . Glick's had a rather large variety of plants. Glick's is amazing. My husband and I drive the hour it takes us to get there once or twice a season. It's beautiful out in Berks County. The prices at Glick's just can't be beat: .50 cents for vegetable starts, $1.75 for four. Every once and a while I have to buy a plant at a local Agway or nursery and cringe as I hand over $4, $5 or more. The starts may be tiny but they grow just as fast and are indistinguishable by the end of the season. Then, the perennials. Also small, also a bargain. It's a little more of a mixed bag in terms of health (and sometimes they are mislabeled, comes with the territory) but overall it's just so much fun to trawl through the selection. They're usually $3.50. My success rate with their perennials has been just great. Everything has thrived, even if they start out small. The annual flower selection is also delightful. There's a nice old-fashioned mix with some new things to try as well. The herb selection is impressive.The people are great and very friendly, and the prices, like I said, can't be beat. Visiting Glick's just makes me happy. Next door is an amazing array of day lilies for sale though a different farm. read more
