Heard the hot dog truck ran out of hot dogs by 1:30p. Long lines at everything. We chose to not eat there. The artisans were good. They had about 30 or so. Some inside a barn and some outside. Some repeats with candle people being the most. The barn is nice looking. But with lots of people it was very hot on a day where it was 85 degrees. They should have some fans on the ceiling to just move some air. There is cement stairs and a railing to help people walk in to the barn. The event was focused around the flowering fields. It was $30 to pick some flowers and take them home. Here is the thing. I thought $30 was high. But plenty of people paid. You get a little vase 1 size and some scissors. Then off you go picking as many as you want that fit in to your vase. However, again by 1:30p it seemed like slim pickings literally. They are still taking money and it's a long line but most of the flowers seemed picked already. Our friends were out there and were struggling to fill the vase and get their moneys worth. Not a repeat for me. Love the idea. Just thought the execution was poor. Not the artisans fault so that is the score. I want to support local and small biz so I am being more generous than I would if it was just the farm and picking flowers.

I noticed couples, families with young children, and groups of friends all enjoying themselves. You can pay with exact cash, credit card, or Venmo. The owners point you toward the best flowers currently in bloom and make sure you know how welcome you are. If you bring the cup back at any future event, you will get $5 off your next purchase. I picked well over $30 worth of some of the most beautiful and diverse flowers I've ever seen - much better than any bouquet I could find in a local store (although many local stores in NE Ohio sell Bloom Hill's blooms). Their website shares the backstory of the farm and includes lots of fun events they have planned such as a dedicated date night experience, classes that allow you to cut your own flowers and then teaches you how to arrange them, activities for children, and special events that include bouncy houses, live music, food trucks and more. SUNFLOWERS -- A mason jar could be purchased at the entrance of the flower field but I didn't buy a mason jar. I just used my hands to hold the flowers as I picked them. FOOD -- The farm sells food and drinks but I didn't look at any of the offerings since my friend brought her own food for her birthday party. I believe they have typical fast food such as burgers and fries. This is a great family-friendly farm to visit in Wooster. I saw a-lot of kids running around and having a good time. This is an adorable small animal farm. Pure passions has Nigerian dwarf goats, geese, ducks,…read morealpacas, and a barn cat. We arrived with three children. There's plenty of parking for about 20 cars. There are two barns and clean restrooms. The price is reasonable at $10 per car load. The owners are very nice. They didn't just take our money and give us a map; they showed us around and then let us go off on our own. Feed is available in small buckets for $3. All the alpacas and the goats loved it. There is a small playground, basketballs and basketball hoops, and a fairy garden too. We stayed a little over an hour but would have stayed longer if it hadn't started raining. We'll be going back to visit Santa Claus next month and in the spring for goat yoga!

The…read morecorn maze is the biggest part, plus there are apple cannons, bouncy houses, a wagon ride (you get to pick one apple,) a climbing wall, etc. As their website says, don't follow your GPS to the market- this is 1/4 mile or so west of it (and west of Rt. 310) on Morse. Plenty of big signs. Snack area there, or go to the market after. The website says $12 for the maze and $3 for wagon rides, so I figured we'd go on the wagon and then be able to play at the bouncy house, etc. Nope- all the play areas are part of the maze ticket. And you pay even if you don't do the stuff, so we paid $36 for the maze, which we didn't go in, so that K could go in the bouncy houses and on the barrel train, plus $9 total for a wagon ride. Kids under 3 are free, I think. Anyway. We sucked it up and paid a lot so K could have fun. She did. The guy doing the barrel train seemed to have as much fun as the kids, and it was a long ride. The bouncy houses seemed popular. There's also a big inflated "trampoline," some basketball hoops, and other play stuff. Attendants at most of them, friendly and helpful. Sigh. We'll probably be back, maybe with just one parent to save some money.

We live up near Akron, and before recently, we had never known about this beautiful farm. Fall Festival was so much fun - perfect for our 1 year old and I'd imagine fun all the way thru school agers. Corn pits, short corn mazes, friendly farm animals, slides and playgrounds, and activity areas galore made our little one's day. He loved seeing the resident rabbit hopping around the farm. Beautiful decor, treats, and gifts were inside the temperature controlled barn near an outdoor pumpkin store and even a small area for the littlest ones to pick their favorite tiny pumpkin. We brought friends for Christmas on the Farm, and everyone had a great time. We werent sure what to expect, but everything was organized and done really nicely while keeping a good pace. We started out with ice skating in the main admissions barn, followed by decorating cookies in Mrs. Claus' barn. She gave us lots of time as our 6, 4, and 2 year olds iced cookies, telling us about different things, reading stories, and engaging the kids. Next, we ended up in Santa's barn which was nicely decorated to look authentic. He told the older kids some fun tricks while slowly warming up my cautious two year old. Before long, he had gotten my son's attention by giving him fives and my son was in his arms at his tool bench helping him build a project with a toy hammer. SC spent a lot of time with our children which was a special bonus, and afterwards they got to participate in an "indoor snowball fight" and make reindeer food amongst other crafts. On our way back to the main barn, we picked up the fresh, hot cocoa and cider included in our admissions. We will be back to Nickajack for future events especially in the fall and at Christmas. The Christmas event just blew us away, especially for only $12 admission. If you're looking for fun for the younger set in the fall or an absolutely magical (or convincing) visit from Santa, look no further.
