So the fact that it is a Quaker centre guesthouse might put some people off. Not me, the Quakers are a thoroughly decent sort of people if their guest house is anything to judge them by!
Warm cosy rooms, not cheap, but not expensive, 3 meals a day inclusive, including the packed lunch they send you out on the hills with and on top of that high tea with cakes if you can make it back for the 1630 deadline!
A great venue to explore the lakes from with full English every morning and while it's not quite all you can eat, even my stomach was left relatively satisfied most nights.
The evening meals, deserts and starters are varied and mouthwatering.
Top it off with unlimited tea and coffee and board games and all in all a great place to stay. read more
