This was our first time away from Brady, who at 6 months old has spent all his time at home with both myself and my husband working in the house. As a result we were hugely concerned about separation anxiety (both for Brady and for us!) We needn't have worried. Richard kindly invited us into his home ahead of our night away with Brady to ensure we were comfortable with his environment and we immediately felt at ease. Firstly, Richard is a wonderfully kind and calm chap, who clearly adores dogs and it was very clear Brady felt at home. Richard answered all our (many) questions ahead of our break quickly and nothing ever felt like too much trouble for him. Brady skipped into the bungalow without so much of a look back when we left him and with regular updates from Richard throughout the day, we never had any concerns and had a super break. Brady looked super happy when we collected him and I'm sure can't wait to return for some more pampering! We are already booked in for our next break and can safely say this will now be his second home when needed. Thank you again Richard and family for being so wonderful, patient and kind to us all, we will see you soon

They took money in advance and still owe me for walks not done as I cancelled them due to the problems I have experienced with them. I also noticed on the net my dog was pictured without my consent or knowing whilst I was looking for a different dog walking service this I am very unhappy with as I would not of allowed it either and was never asked for permission. We had to make a last minute booking for our new puppy. We live in Suffolk, my fiancee's parents…read moreare in Louth and my parents are in Hull. We are heading to a family wedding in Hull next week and wanted a kennel for one night but all the local kennels were full. We decided we could go via my fiancee's parents and book our puppy in Barfield for 3 nights. Long story short my beloved parents family dog Tess had to be put down. My mum and dad said we should bring our puppy and she could have the kennel space that Tess would have had and it would only be for 1 night. I called barfields straight away to cancel our booking. Honesty is not always the best policy it would seem as we could have lied about why we cancelled but chose to tell the truth. Barfield were totally unsympathetic and threatened to charge us anyway and banned us from bringing our puppy again. My fiancee had to take the phone from me as I was so upset over the loss of my dog and to then be spoken to in such a way was astounding. She said to her "why are you further upsetting my fiance, his dog has just died" and the Barfield lady's response was "he has upset me. You want to take your dog to another kennel." We are discusted at how they dealt with us and they caused unnessecary further upset. We would have used them in future when visiting Louth but not now. If you value customer service, never book here. Upset, shocked and disgusted at our treatment.
