Customer service is complete ass, they are very rude and disrespectful. I do not recommend going here!

I used to love this place, great beer selection. It became the only shop my wife & I would buy beer from. We love higher end IPA & DIPA. Every once in a while we would get a four pack of a beer that we buy often and the taste would be slightly off. I alway attributed this to the way it was shipped. Hot/cold trucks. This has happened with a few of our regular beers like Beer'd Dogs & Boats & King Sue as well as a couple others. When I went in early this AM I found out why, they had stocked the shelves with beers from the cooler! They were actually sweating there on the shelf. I don't know about you, But when I'm paying 16-22$ a FOUR pack. I expect the place I'm buying it from to treat it with respect. When I checked out (no beer! Just booze) I had mentioned it to somebody up front. I was laughed at and told it's a myth that beer chemistry changes when it goes from cold to hot them back to cold. COME ON GUYS!! I don't even let that happen at my house!!! And a liquor store saying that is shocking! For example, Toppling Goliath has a beer KIng Sue. When you go to Glenro it is sold from boxes off the floor. Not chilled. It says on the box it is a live beer keep cool. I was told by the guys at Glenro that is BS they just write it to get cooler space. And they receive the beer warm. If you call the brewery they will tell you it has active yeast in it so if it's temp gets higher than 73 or so the yeast will die and change the flavor. They ship all their King Sue out cold & expect it to stay cold until you buy it. When I am buying good beer, I want it to taste the way it was brewed to taste. My girlfriend and I were doing a cross country trip and we stopped here to grab some liquor to go to our hotel for the night and we showed up about 15 minutes before closing, we asked when they closed and they said they would stay open as long as we were there; we grabbed what we wanted and I tried to use the restroom they said was available in the back while my girlfriend paid so we could get out as soon as she was down paying and we would be on our way, simple right? Wrong. I get into the bathroom and not even 10 seconds later the guy that works there is pounding on the door asking me "if I really have to piss that bad" and to get out because they're closing, keep in mind she hasn't even finished paying yet. He literally escorted me out of the bathroom before I could go and walked me out of the front door. I don't know if his dad owns the place or what the hell was going on but there's no way that it's okay to talk to people like that. So disrespectful, it was so bad the other employees apologized on his behalf. read more

Went in looking for the KBS 2020 release. Guy gave me 2019 it was warm. When I noticed it wasn't 2020 at checkout, he just turned away and let the cashier handle it. Went in looking for Goose Island prop. A young guys working in one of the aisles said they had it, asked me which ones I wanted. When we got up to the front of the store, the same guy told me they didn't have any. The first guy definitely was as surprised as I was. There are plenty of other places in the area with honest people working in them. Avoid this place. read more

I was home for Easter this past weekend and stopped at Glenro because they have a great selection of boxed wines. I used my credit card and realized a couple days after the purchase I was mistakenly overcharged. I called and spoke to Larry, the owner, who was so pleasant and helpful. He assured me he would look into it and call me back- which he did within an hour. What great service! Everything was resolved almost immediately. Every person that works here is extremely friendly and will go out of their way to make suggestions and help you find whatever it is you are looking for. Don't be fooled by the outside- this place is HUGE! It will definitely be the only place I shop when I am back home. Thank you, Glenro and Larry!! read more

Glenro is one of the better liquor stores in the area. They have the best sections of beers, and, an outstanding selection of wines. The staff is very courteous, willing to help, and are very knowledgable. The price points are very good, and, at times, they offer a try and buy on selected liquors and wines. This is my favorite place to go for wines, since they carry a great selection from local vendors, US, and international products. If you find something you want to try, and, if it's not in stock, they will go out of their way to get it for you. Great place, highly recommended. read more

Love this Liquor Store. The Staff is always helpful, we've used them the first time for my first granddaughters Christening.the prices were great and the bonus was they gave us a discount and told us if we did not use all the wine we could bring it back!!!Wow you don't hear that much So thank you Glenro for your wonderful staff and your Shelton and Monroe locations. We live in Monroe and this store is the closest to us. The sales staff seems to be shuffled every so often. On several occasions salesmen would start processing our order then switching to another customer for several minutes leaving us waiting. This was outrageous. Are they taught the basics? read more
