5 Stars for friendly staff, a great location, and a doctor with a good bedside manner…read more I was looking for a new GP and thought of Dr. Perez because 1) His office is in my 'hood, and 2) People with the last name Perez are naturally brilliant (I'm not biased at all). I love the fact that his office is in a neighborhood, on a residential street. It feels like a remanent of another era. An era where there were neighborhood doctors who knew you and your family and were only a call away. Being a mid-eighties baby, I'm assuming this era existed. Either way, it feels good pulling up to a neighborhood office. I called to make my initial new patient appointment and was really shocked to hear that they could fit me in two days from that time. Every other doctor's office I had called couldn't take me until three weeks from now (minimum). George made sure to remind me that they only take cash or check (no credit cards), but my copay should be fairly low given my insurance. Was it a little odd that they don't take CC? Yeah. Did it matter when they could get me in so quickly? NOPE! The lobby is nice and neat and has a TV (HGTV for the win!) and the paperwork was straightforward. George, who initially took my call, showed me to the room and we chatted for a while (everyone in Orlando knows everyone!). It was an extra touch of friendliness that made me smile and made the time pass more quickly. The doctor arrived and was very pleasant and efficient- but not in a way that felt rushed. By the end of the appointment I asked about his background and we talked about regions in Spain worth visiting. Again, friendliness goes a long way! Overall, a great visit and I am SUPER glad to have a new doctor nearby (versus the 30 minute trek I used to make).

Recently, my husband went into the office VERY sick and Dr. Perez immediately examined him and determined he had a major lung infection and sent him directly to the Hospital... where he spent 12 days!! Dr. Perez is extremely good with his patients and remembers you and your family! And the great part is he talks to all patients at their level so you can understand what he is explaining to you and how you need to handle the current illness you are experiencing !!! Thank You Dr. Perez for always being our Doctor and also a "friend" in our time of need!!

I am glad that I did. Often, in a big practice doctors will rush you and just right a prescription for the first thing. Dr. Mendez is personable and really takes time to talk to you and is also reassuring without being condescending. Choosing a doctor is not always easy. I feel very blessed that I saw Dr. Mendez the first time. Doctors like her are hard to come by. I would recommend her to anyone :)

Dr. Mendez became my primary doctor after my doctor was switched to another practice. I was a…read morelittle worried... but thankfully all my worries were unfounded! Dr. Mendez spends time with her patients and really listens to you when you go to her with a problem. She doesn't give you the impression that she's in a rush. She normally sits down and pulls up all of your information on the computer before making a diagnosis so that she gets a big picture of what's going on with you. On my first visit to her for an annual physical, she spent about 20 minutes reviewing all of my files and discussing everything with me. I like going to her office because she makes me feel like a person - and not just another appointment to be dealt with quickly. Another plus about this office - if you are sick and need to be seen quickly, give the office a call and speak to Dr. Mendez's nurse. The office will have you leave a message on her voice mail. I was skeptical about this at first, but I promise you she will call you back fairly quickly. Once you explain what the issue is, 95% of the time they will squeeze you in to see the doctor that day. I've done this a couple of times when I had the flu or bronchitis. I'd highly recommend Dr. Mendez and the Internal Medicine Practice to anyone looking for a good doctor in the Orlando area!

Extremely unprofessional & unpleasant experience started with booking the appointment:…read more - I called to book appt., 2:15pm available. Great, booked that immediately. Then someone called back to ask if I can do tomorrow. I expressed that I can't, I need to be seen & get medication asap. Then okay, she offered 3:45pm, I said no, because I wanted to make sure I get seen in time & have time to pick up prescriptions. She said okay, 3:15pm then. - I arrived around 3:05pm, and wasn't seen by doctor Tim until 4:37pm. The entire interaction with the doctor was no longer than 3 mins. Despite all the hassle, I didn't say much, just glad to be able to pick up my meds in a timely manner & get out of this mess. - I drove to pharmacy, was told there was no prescription sent (antibiotic for my sinus infection). Called the office, and left multiple voices mails. No answers. (Their Google business hour is incorrect). I empathized multiple times before I left the office asking if the prescription was sent, and if that was correct. I was assured everything was done. The level of unprofessionalism was simply unacceptable, now I have rushed to UrgentCare, after wasting my afternoon/evening to go through this process again to get medicine, while feeling ill & unwell. I will be switching primary care doctor first thing tomorrow.

I felt greeted by a nice lady in Administration named Stephanie behind the desk, but there is a male administrator there as well and he is not welcoming at all. His phone mannerisms are not professional. I should have picked up on it when i called to schedule a new appointment. His underwear was showing from the back when he sat to take my vitals. I have had to call numerous times about prescriptions. I needed a glucose machine called into my insurance and it never happened. Dr. Chaudhry put me on the highest does of Metformin without starting off in small doses and increasing. Made me extremely sick. Administration and the doctor are a team and should flow together to insure each patient recieves follow up and complete care. When I cant trust the front desk in making sure my medications and supply needs are met thats a red flag for me. The office may be a good fit for some but for me it's a no. Found a new doctor with Administration that fits my needs. Professionalism, patient care and customer service is greatly high on my list.

I was nervous to try a new office but heard such wonderful things about this practice. Dr.Khan has really made me feel comfortable and at ease when coming into the office. I also appreciate that the practice offers mental health services in addition to primary care. I feel like having it all under one roof makes that referral and ability to connect to the right resources so much easier! Scheduling is also super easy! Four ladies were present and on their computer and I told them I was placed on hold for a total of 32 minutes and none of them had patients in front of them to justify keeping me on hold , it was intentional on their behalf . The call would ring and placed me back on hold , I hung up and called back and a voice quickly said " please hold " and it was done more than once . Office manager showed up and as I was trying to explain the situation, needless to say , she gave me a clipboard and walked of , very dismissive with zero interest in what I wanted to communicate, which was my frustration due to their lack of customer service skills. I can see why the ladies at the front showed no interest in picking up the phone after placing me on hold repeatedly. I'm currently seeking a primary care and you guessed it, after telling them that I would , they simply carried on with their day . This office has officially gone down the drain , it was never like that several years ago .
