Here is what I know: I called another local person for an estimate to fix my AC. My guess is that they just weren't interested in doing the job 'cause I think they high-balled me. They wanted almost $5,700 dollars to fix the AC. I called Doe's and he came straight over. Examined the system and instead of suggesting a whole new unit (AC and Air Handler) he instead replaced the Air Handler only which saved me over $2500. In other words, he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, he just sold me what I actually needed and he gave me the price up front to the penny. They came to put in the system as soon as they got the air handler and they worked diligently. I have no qualms about recommending Doe's. Good people. Incidentally, a few days later my sister needed some work done on her AC. I told her to call Does. They came over and fixed her problem for about $80, which was less than simply the service call for the other company she called. And finally, this morning I called them again. Get this. It was on a Sunday on 4th of July weekend. Something was wrong with the AC, but, instead of making me wait they came straight over and fixed my problem. It was a simple fix, an outside breaker, but, that's not the point. I'll bet any other company in town would have really stuck it to me. Doe's didn't.
