I just had to get the judge on my side on this and make them see things how I see things. They say that a man who represents himself in court has a fool for a client. Well, this fool fought the law, and won! Now, the prosecution (the City of Dallas) has to prove guilt, and I shouldn't have to prove my innocence. However, the officer who wrote the violation wrote a violation for violating a non-existent law! There is no law on the books of the City of Dallas that prohibits you from parking in a bike lane. Park away! Being from out of town, I wrote the judge a quick letter on the back of my ticket, and a few weeks later, I received notification from Dallas Municipal Court that all charges had been dropped! Justice is served.

It's actually hilarious but in my opinion a little predatory. they are using fear and delay to push most of the nervous and no educated public to just accept it. I received a simple speeding ticket and it should've been handled like all tickets are and the cop should've been there at the first appearance. this court also needs to check their da, rules, and processes. The DA came in, slouched down in his chair, chewing gum, and overall just not very engaging. Times have def changed in the courts. The. mix in the fact that the bailiff allows men in shorts (against rules), flip flops on many women, and nonstop people walking in and out of proceedings. I called them as I am a disabled Veteran and had to walk over a mile to this towing company that illegally obtained my car and they refused to help a broke down Veteran get to his vehicle to get it out of a pound. I explained to the police I was sick, diabetes Type 1 and Stage 5 Kidney Failure, and needed my insulin and necessary medication before possible Ketoacidosis, and they refused to get me an officer on sight or anything. I could have had serious complications from their lack of duty or compassion. I will be contacting higher ups and or other agencies concerning this police departments lack of morals and not standing behind what having a badge really means.

The very nice Lady was all to happy to direct me where to go! When I got into the building inspection office it wasn't obvious what to do or who to talk to. There were 2 people sitting in what appeared to be a mock waiting room. I waited patiently in front of the counter for what seemed like an excessive amount of time. I was never acknowledged or directed where to go. I finally asked a fellow patron singing in on a clip board marked with a sign that said "Complete Application". He told me to sign in on the clip board and someone would eventually get to me. Overall the experience was good but they could stand to communicate more clearly with better signage.

Place floods super bad and they have about 5 - 6 spots that just get filled with water, trash and broken glass. The poor airport gets all the trash that they leave out and floats away. Every weekend is a shit show with the flea market and good luck relaxing on your days off. Place is loud as hell blasting Spanish music and roller coaster vibrations shooting through out my camper all day sun up to sun down. F THIS PLACE WILL NEVER BE BACK

Waited for a little while in line until a teller was available and after showing the required documents, she gave me my paperwork. It was literally probably 15 minutes. I just came back this afternoon to submit my paperwork. It took a little longer since everyone in line ahead of me either wasn't prepared or they were surly. Seriously, one guy was taking it out on the teller. I have to say, she kept her cool the whole time. "Sir, you can give your reasons to the judge and he can decide. I can set up a court date." "Sir, this is just what we do, we're required to report any tickets that are over $100 and it will go on your driving record.... It doesn't matter that it's not a moving violation..... I am telling you this so you won't be surprised later." The guy was trying to catch flies with vinegar - a particularly sour attitude. My teller took my paper work and said, "Please sign here, that's the only thing left." I signed my paperwork. "You're done. Thanks." I got up and walked away and then walked back and said, "Is there some kind of receipt or paperwork you can give me to show that the ticket was dismissed?" She gave me copies of the paperwork I just submitted with the city seal and stamp at the bottom. They do a pretty good job, even though it's a place I want to visit as infrequently as I can.

I pleaded No Contest to a speeding ticket and asked for Deferred. 5 BUSINESS DAYS LATER I was supposed to be in court regarding the ticket? Admits the panic in Texas with the storm, and only being notified via mail. I received the mail 2 days after my "court date" and have now been issued a judgement against me. I paid the fine, all I want is Deferred. Asked the judge to appeal and she said nope. So much for Texans helping Texans. Pathetic treatment of the law.

This is the city dump for Allen residents. Somewhere in this vicinity they also have a spot where…read moreyou can pick up mulch. Not sure if there is a charge for the mulch. We dropped off some ancient TVs. I jokingly said we had a "body to drop off. " The dump manager came unglued on me. I listened to his lecture for 10 minutes on how I shouldn't joke about dead bodies at the dump. Scolded me like I was child. I felt like a child and took it. I deserved that one. Had no idea that a women's body was recently found in a Houston dump. Shame on me. (Goggled that information after my verbal flogging). Access to toss off these TVs is not easy. You have to toss everything over the edge. They are heavy! The sound of smashing glass tubes was pretty cool as the TVs popped. After much thought, I think the dump master has no sense of humor.
