A family run 9 bed room hotel with public bar and restaurant, As you enter to the right is a small bar if you want a quiet drink and to the left the main bar and restaurant. Also in here is a dance floor where they also have live music and karaoke on Thursdays. The landlord is a larger than life character with an equally big singing voice and he runs the karaoke. Never tried the food here but it looked good. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Popular with the locals this would appear to be their starting point for the night. Serving Belhaven beer and the standard lagers and guinness. Prices reasonable. Only disappointment was the choice of only two malts which soon went. Recommended for sports with mates, or family but not a romantic meal for two. Stop press - having emptied the afore mentioned two bottles of malt I mentioned this to the landlord who promptly went out and purchased 6 more bottles including one I specifically requested. Now that is good service. read more
