I met Anthony Norris this past weekend during the First Friday Art Walk on Santa Fe in Denver, CO…read more I was visiting from Los Angeles, CA and my friends and I were having a wonderful time strolling around taking in the local art. We were struck by Anthony's photo booth idea; he had created a small red box where he had strung doll parts from the ceiling and had fun props to use like doll pieces and toy swords and such. He was offering to take pictures for a fee and was going to upload them and email them later that weekend. After a little healthy bartering, I paid him $10 and excitedly chose a doll head as my prop of choice and then my friends and I filed into the photo booth to get our pictures taken. He took 4 or 5 pictures. We were thrilled to see them and patiently waited until Sunday to get our images. Oh how disappointing it was to receive the email from Anthony with the blurry images attached. What was even more offensive was the way he handled the entire situation. He told us he was embarrassed because our pictures were the ONLY pictures that were blurry that night (I find that point especially interesting since I had bartered a lower price for them) and that it was probably because he had been drinking too much by the time he took them. He even went on to blame me for the poor photographs because of the way I was looking at him. When I replied with my disappointment and asked for him to offer my money back, JUST OFFER. He replied, verbatim "it's $10... get over it" In a later email he attacked my character and even went on to say, "Since you weren't willing to pay what I was asking maybe those images are how I chose to express my creativity. I never promised focused images." Denver, take caution in hiring a photographer who takes your money, doesn't guarantee images in focus, drinks on the job, and blames you for his lack of professionalism.

I randomly met Anthony at a gym while he was doing fitness portraits and he eagerly agreed to shoot…read moresome images with me. This was my first time ever doing a fitness-type photoshoot and Anthony was very helpful in giving me some tips and pointers to produce the best images. He quickly edited them and sent them to me less than a week later. He reached out to me again to shoot some outdoor images. He had several great ideas about different shots and gladly accepted some suggestions I had. The pictures turned out great and he had a wide variety of shots. I was very impressed with his ideas and how he imagined different pictures. I would recommend Anthony to anyone looking to get professional shots done. He was extremely nice and very accommodating to my busy schedule. He obviously knows what he is doing and how to instruct someone in a professional manner.
