The teachers are very patient, caring and dedicated to seeing the children thrive. As a parent, we love the exposure they get to so many activities all under one roof! Art class from kaleidoscope, Spanish (ms Adrianna) soccer, Choir (ms Leslie) , piano classes (+ annual recital) (ms MJ) and most recently classes on site from W.Kim taekwondo. Summers are full of fun events like bike and splash days and other special events for parents/families during the school year. We are lucky to have both ms razvi/ms Janet and ms Tucky/ms Aparna- we've felt supported here and both children are learning so much. Plus the kids loved their teachers. There seems to be a lot of support for the teachers w/ continued Montessori training and much more. My son was head butted so hard he actually fell to the ground. My son stated he was being called "idiot, baby, and dumb", by children much older than him. He now says he "hates school" What adult blames a 5 year old? My child defending himself was made to be the bigger issue. The cherry on top was right before we withdrew him the teacher was asked by my sons medical doctor to fill out a form and give it back to me. The school flat out refused to hand the form back to me. Today, as I picked up my sons belongings I was told that (completely out of retaliation ) they school shredded the document "since he was no longer enrolled" As I am certain you can see, nobody at this school is living by "Catholic Values", do not just run away from this school and parish but marathon sprint away.

During the week there are different classes incorporated like Spanish, computer, gym, etc. It is a diverse school which I appreciate and was a must for me.

Oh God- the worst years of any kid's life- Jr High!…read more It's hard to give any Jr. High a good review, since it's such a terrible time for most kids. I tried to put much of those years out of my memory, but there are a couple things about Frost that really did stand out for me I'll recount: My teachers were decent enough- Mr. Catalano was my science teacher- he really rooted for me when I aced my HS entrance exams and got into the accelerated track. On the flip-side was Ms. Costansa, my English teacher, she actually fought to keep me out of the accelerated HS English track because of my misbehavior. Somehow she couldn't see that my misbehavior was largely due to boredom from being unchallenged by her criculum- duh? Oh well, at least in HS English I got to hang out with normal kids instead of the AP geeks. Gym class. OMG, Mr. Steger was notorious- every boy in the 5-6th grade feared entering Jr. High because of this guy's reputation for embarrassing and harassing the boys in the locker room. I never had to jump naked for my towel myself, but the dude was huge and scary and he got pretty mean when other kids acted up. Not a really good deal if you ask me. I'm sure he's long gone now, but that's how it was in the 80s. French class. I had the best French teacher ever- she was this totally cool, cosmopolitan, artsy lady. She really cared about us learning the language and the culture, and took us all to the Creperie in Chicago. Mlle Doyle was the best. Math- both my Pre Algebra and Algebra teachers were really good. The kids in these classes were ahead of the other kids in Math and we were taught that way- nice to have reasonably tough expectations placed on our progress. So Frost was just OK, there were some really nice teachers, some were pricks, some good experiences, and some pretty bad. I booked lots of geeky kids in the hallway and got away with it. I suppose that experience typified my whole experience here: not really good, but not really bad either- 3 stars.

New Connections - Palatine (Parent of a Currently Enrolled Student)…read moreMy child has been enrolled at NCA Palatine since 2020, and the school has truly been a game changer. Before coming to NCA, my child attended two of the top public school SPED programs in the area -- from push-in to pull-out services, and even self-contained classrooms. Unfortunately, not all students can thrive in their home school environment due to challenges like integration with the general education population, the level of support needed, and the availability of specialized staff. After doing extensive research on outplacement options, I chose NCA Palatine. Like any major transition, the adjustment took time. I questioned myself, the district, and even the NCA staff on more than one occasion. But every time, I received reassurance, thoughtful feedback, and clear action steps that led to real, meaningful improvements. Success at this school truly depends on collaboration between all parties involved, and the staff here genuinely understands that. They actively seek family input and value parent perspectives. Class sizes are small -- typically no more than 10 students -- with one teacher and two program assistants. Beyond the classroom, there's a strong team of support professionals, including multiple therapists, behavior specialists (RIS), and an outstanding administrative team. Without a doubt, this school has had the most significant impact on my child's education and development. For the first time in our child's life, we've found a community that genuinely cares and is committed to making the world a better place for our kids
