Having to put a loved one in a memory care facility can be a very difficult decision, and something…read morenot taken lightly when making a choice of facilities. Lucky for us the best place happens to be the most convenient. Towsley is great!! This secured facility has a fantastic staff! Initially the management was not so great, but the facility corrected this by firing some bad apples and hiring some good administrators that are more interested in helping the patients. This is great because the support staff is and always has been fantastic!! Caring, helpful and supportive they make your loved one as comfortable and happy as possible. The facility itself is also very nice. The main area is very welcoming with very tall ceilings a movie/ play/ concert/ worship room and a nice little coffee shop with free coffee and ice cream (very nice touch but didn't help my diet lol). There are multiple wings with their own kitchen and sitting areas and what makes them nice are that you can walk in a big square instead of just down the hall and back. The rooms are all different but each include their own bathroom and lots of windows. They remind me of high end college dorms. The food served to the residents is fantastic! Seriously my dad was eating way better than me by staying there! At dinner they get an appetizer, a main entry with, for example,really good fish, veggies and potatoes and then a dessert! As with any place that deals with tough and seriously situations like this there is a learning curve. Staff have to get to know the residents and what they like and and how to help each resident individually. This to me seems really hard, but the staff here are incredible and really put in the effort to learn about each person so they can treat them as friend instead of a number. We trust our love one here and I can wholeheartedly give them my recommendation.

From the initial sales tour with Suzy through the nurses review and meeting all the aids, I new this was the right place for Mom & Dad. They all went out of their way to welcome M&D and help them transition to their new home. Even Kara in billing helped by providing billing details for our insurance company. When questions or concerns came up, all I had to do was ask and the team responded with solutions that fit our needs. It is very comforting to know that my parents are in a safe and loving environment, and if they need anything at all, it's just the push of a button away. Now they can live out their golden years in comfort and safety. My sincere thanks to all the people that make up the team at Silver Maples of Chelsea!

Warm and caring staff; awesome and interesting residents. My mother lived at Silver Maples for the…read morelast 5+ years of her life and it was an incredible experience for her, especially as compared to the alternative of living in a house alone. The facility is well done and clean, the staff genuinely warm and caring and her fellow residents an extremely fun and interesting group with diverse backgrounds, such as university professors, retired judges and published authors. Mom developed many close relationships, always had something engaging to do and always felt loved and cared for. A true blessing for the later years of her life.

I had illustrated what we needed for my mom including finding resources for ride sharing programs…read more Stephanie sent us a zoom link which expired after a half hour so we all had to log back in, then she spent most of the time telling me how my mother is a vulnerable adult and will need to be assessed to see if she needs to be taken away from her home and into an assisted living home. After a while of this my babysitter I hired for this $400 phone call was telling me my son was overtired so I had to leave. I had illustrated in three emails one before we met online and one following her visit to my mom (deciding that my mother was not required to be submitted to a care home) and one following that second email asking about helping my mom find and apply for ride services which would allow her to be less isolated. Since then I have heard nothing from her on the matter, only complaints saying that my mother has asked her for a ride too many times, and not to bother her.. Absolutely a huge waste of money and time, the fact that she doesn't have a Google account is a sign that she is not someone who is not confident putting her name out there. Wonder why!!
