I stopped by T&J Car Audio to ask about scheduling and was surprised that they could get me in the same day. As I suspected, it turned into a real job even for them due to the way the battery compartment is isolated and the fact that the new Bose systems have so many quirks. It ended up consuming the rest of their day but it's exactly as I wanted and at a price that made me feel guilty. I've already lined up another vehicle for them to do. They were able to creatively fix the tear and reinstall the snap without removing the entire seat cover or leaving any visible stitching. That was a couple years ago. Most recently, they replaced the lining on an interior poof panel such that it looks better than it did new. Both jobs were completed quickly and at reasonable cost. Barry's staff appears to be middle aged guys who obviously have years of experience, and are adept at handling unique issues and explaining repairs to customers. So my only concern is that all their expertise will be gone when they retire.
