She said the hats were stained with "age stains" and won't come any cleaner. 7 are ball caps and are simple sweat stains that I normally clean on a regular basis in my bathtub but because I have MS and can't do it anymore because my hands don't work properly, I decided to take them to a dry cleaner to do it and she's saying it's because of years of aging. Some of these ball caps are less than a year old. She clearly has no business being in the dry cleaning business because she has no idea what she's talking about. Most of these hats are no longer being manufactured and cannot be replaced and one was a balboa that my husband has had for over 30 years that his mother gifted him who has since passed away! My mom recommended Cordella, who is a family friend working out of her home. When I got the jacket back, I was extremely pleased with the work (as good or better than Brooks Brothers has done for me in the past), and the price was so low ($5 for both sleeves) that I insisted on paying more. Yes, Cordella works out of her house, but she has a thriving clientele -- all the old-time locals around here know and trust her to make and/or alter anything. Give her a call. You won't be sorry.
