As soon as you open the door the smell of warm sugar enfolds you and pulls you in like a hug. This tiny shop is jammed with classic treats like Jelly Belly, candy sticks, Lik'M'Aid, salt water taffy, a wonderful selection of British sweets, and hard to find yummies like sponge candy, Charleston Chew in full size, and even the eternal laughingstock of Candyland, Thrills Gum (seriously. Everybody thinks it tastes like soap. Everybody. So how is it still around after all these years? Is it being financed by some eccentric billionaire who lost a bet?) You'll also find the most insanely diverse selection of liquorice you've never dreamed existed, even stuff from the Netherlands that will remind you of Üter from The Simpsons. Uh... candycandycandycandy! I'll be honest here... I just came from Lolly Gobble and I'm eating a lot of sugar right now. Feeling a bit hyper right now, and giddy, and full of childhood candy memories. Just go, and bring your sweet tooth.

This roadside fish shack is the Real Deal!…read more THE ROSES: Outstanding English style (battered) fish and chips. The batter-to-fish ratio is perfect, and they're not too greasy. They also do a very good job with the fried prawns and oysters as well. The venue is run-down, but clean, and has a very rustic waterfront air to it. THE THORNS: Not a lot of dining space. This isn't a problem if you visit on an 'off-peak' time, but on a hot summer day dining in a cramped space might be unappealing. THE VERDICT: Don't judge a book by its cover. This dumpy little roadside seafood shack punches well above its weight with its fish and chips. Recommend!

I was visiting friends in the area & drove along Marine Dr when I saw the sign ... Kandy heaven here with a big arrow pointing at it! LOL in my dreams! Ricardo apparently has another shop somewhere up the road & decided to open this massive candy shop right here at White Rock Beach. It seems there's a correlation between toking up Zaza & getting crazy munchies in your belly! The previous candy shops I've reviewed have had Mary J connections (usually a cannabis store next door) & appear to go hand in hand. Regardless, speaking as the strictly sugar addicted lunatic that I am, RKK offers a wide variety of candy selection & humongous gummie options up for grabs! I could see I wasn't the only one with eyes popping out of our skulls as we admired the selection ... kids were jumping around in glee & the moms were smiling ear to ear taken back to their childhood favourite candy being right in front of them. It's incredible to see the number of candy shops springing up due to the pandemic & ongoing border closure (cannot drive down, essential status only) with the States! Almost makes one wish it would stay closed longer ... hee hee! So future candy shops keep opening up & importing all that awesome stuff, Cheetos, ice-cream, Lay's, Pez, Rap Snacks, Dunkaroos et cetera ... LMAO! Ps health conscious nuts need not apply!
