Crappy service. Crappy mowing. They will break things on your property and not tell you. My most recent service put tractor ruts in the ground and clumps of grass all over. Their response? Pay more to have them more more often and pick up the clippings. Their mowers ran over my down spout and ripped it from the side of my house. You would think I would get a note on my door or a phone call from the company apologizing and then fixing it? Nope. They left it for me to discover. They did repair it when I brought it to their attention, but really..... My communications with the Vice President of their company left me wondering how they stay in business. She was rude, tried to up sell me, and discontinued my service based on my expectations. My expectations???? A professional mow for an agreed upon price. Shame on me for my high expectations. I received an estimate on 8/12 for some landscape work and was very impressed with Mark who came out to look at the property, had insightful ideas and substantial knowledge about what should be done. They mailed me an invoice and I sent in the 10% down payment. however after a full month I had not heard anything from them whatsoever about scheduling. I gave them a call and they said that we were scheduled for 9/22. I said, ok, and waited until 9/22 (yesterday). No crew came out. I called them again today and they said they had still not scheduled anything, it was tentatively going to be next week. I asked them to please inform me as soon as the schedule is finalized. Overall I am not very happy with the level of communication that Glacier has provided regarding when the work is to be performed. Let's see next week if they come through or there are further delays. I had a large (30K) landscaping job done by them and the service and quality of work was poor at best. I could go on and on about how ONE employee shows up on the day work was to begin and I ask if he has seen the 'blueprint' of what was to be done and knew where to get started and he says "they told me something about a retaining wall" and he didn't have a clue where to begin or what to do and that the foreman would be here shortly....4hours later he does and things go downhill from there. I had a huge amount of land to be excavated and he tells me they are going to do it with a skid loader, no attachment or anything just a front bucket, even for all the clay and rock in my area. After 2 days of spinning their wheels (literally) which I end up getting charged for at the end because they went "over hours" by about a full WEEK, they decide an excavator would be right for the job which I had been trying to say from the get go. The one guy they send out to do the job and build two extensive retaining walls had been working for them for just that summer (6 months top) and had not built a retaining wall before, he did not do a terrible job on the wall it just took a LONG time.......which again I was charged for at the end due to going over hours as stated above. The whole point of the job was to get the water problems in my yard solved and I showed the foreman (Eric if you ever use them) exactly where the issues were and apparently he totally ignored me and they had to come back several times to address the areas I told them to address to begin with, again at my charge. Even with all of the discussions about water flow etc. they were NOT even able to get the final grade of the land sloping away from my house on either the upper or lower section of the yard.......you'd think with 2 chances to grade a yard away from the house they could get one right but that was not the case. I had to pay to bring in 2 truck loads of dirt ($500 later) and grade it myself to raise up the areas around my house to keep water away, this after I had to pay several thousand dollars to have dirt trucked out! Extremely rude receptionist, and trucks have very unprofessional drivers. Equipment below average, and staff have bad attitudes.
