If you blindly believe in Big Pharma-trained "physicians" who always know better than patients, this is exactly where you need to be. If you want to be treated like cattle and judged if you don't agree on the Dr. archaic training, then this is the place. If you never want to question what your doc is doing and just say yes to whatever they say, then this is the place. If you want a staff that only tells a side of the storey to the Dr that benefits them and not the full story, then this is the place for you! If you want your medical decisions and discussions to happen in a lobby, then this is the place. If you are a single parent and want your life to be made more stressful and be judged, this is the place. If you want your kids judged by docs without you even in the room, this is the place for you! If you want to NEVER see or even meet the dentist working on your child, then this is the place. (Time is money, and not engaging with a parent allows them at least one more appointment a day per doctor per week per month, which is 40 more chances to make money, and TRUST ME that is their goal. You will feel it if you have ever been treated by a physician who cares about the whole patient and not just the DRs advice being honored like it was scripture. (even if your spiritual beliefs dont allow for a neurotoxin like flouride to be used on their bodies.) If you like doctors to judge your children and your parenting (that's you, Dr. Kim, on our last visit), without even meeting you or talking to you, then this is the place. Parents, do yourself and kids a favor. Do your research, and if you are a parent, realize things like lasers and remineralizing teeth and even healing cavities and NOT USING FLOURIDE are being done every day by biological dentistry, then go after that. Maybe find out if flouride is banned in other countries? OH and don't believe them when they say they will honor your choices as a patient. They won't. They will judge, embarrass, and harass for more x-rays and fluoride each time we go, and they don't keep very good records of your personal request. Your money making line tiems will never be forgotten at this practive ERER.. They can keep GREAT records for things that make them money, but otherwise they have no idea. In fact, in talking to Gabe two days agi he seems SHOCKED to learn that they aren't even our dentist. We go there just for cleanings because our biologic dentist is a few hours rountrip. (In retrospect, WORTH EVERY ONCE OF GAS AND TIME) In fact, in going over my notes for the visits in the past (do yourself a favor and keep notes), I had already decided never to go back after my son had needed some numbing at an appointment. I, like usual, wasn't invited back, and he had not gotten numb where Dr. Gabe was planning to give an injection. Sadly, time is money, and it was NOT numb for the real shot. It was VERY uncomfortable, especially for his 1st time needing anything. The second time it was needed, I went back with him; I insisted. I shared our last experience with the hygienist as she placed numbing. She typed something into the chart. Dr Gabe walks in, and intros himself, grabs the needle in the next breath and does it all over again. The Hygentist, who are all very young and new, clearly didn't have the strength or respect for my wishes to stop her boss from causing more pain. Shame on me for thinking having a conversation would change things. MONEY and milking insurance is their goal here. Oh, and making sure you leave a great review. I have more interaction with their review requests than anything else. As a longtime consultant for small businesses (30+ years, including the SBA) this is NOT a patient-focused medical practice. This is a cash cow money-making, big pharma preaching, insurance sucking machine that ignores the newest medical studies, puts their egos and employees first...oh, and then they make sure your kids are OK.

This dental office staff was extremely hostile to me when I took my grandchild to their office. I…read moredidn't know they had a "no phone" policy as it is not posted anywhere. I took a call from a lawyer while in their lobby (before we went in to the exam rooms). I also took a picture of my grandchild in the exam room. I took the picture of my grandson because they handed him a dentist on a stick for a contest they are doing and said it was to take hold up and take pictures of with the child where ever they went and post to their Facebook page. I thought ok, we will start with the dentist) Instead of explaining to me their policy of no pictures in the exam rooms at the time, they trapped me and my grandchild at the exit of their clinic and demanded my phone from me so they could delete the picture. When I said no and said I was leaving they stood between my grandchild and me preventing us from leaving. I felt very threatened and intimidated by them. Then when I cancelled future dental appointments there (after I scheduled the appointments for my grandchildren with a different dentist office) they reported me to CPS for cancelling the appointments at their office. Worst dental office experience EVER! My grandson was very upset by the time we left even though the dentist himself did a good job of the actual exam.

I liked visiting with the hygienists and techs when I could talk without hands in my mouth and feel like they were interested in me and my concerns. The waiting area is really nice, and often features a DIY or home show and some good magazines. You don't really get to enjoy them though because you don't have to wait long. I like coming here and will continue probably until I don't have any more teeth. Or Dr Ronngren retires.

With that said, Dental Distinctions is my favorite dentist office ever. The staff is friendly, engaging and quite passionate about their work. That in itself is enough to make me happy, but in addition they have state of the art equipment to analyze the teeth and detect issues not only with the teeth and jaw, but also with the airways and tongue. They have helped me greatly with my sleeplessness and to eliminate my snoring. Dr. Nelson is knowledgeable on such a broad level of physical and mental well being she is a pleasure to be around and you feel like you are in the best hands. However, I recently called this office for a vivid image of my nerves that the doctor showed me. That technology is amazing! The receptions don't seem aware of what patients view and definitely need training on listening instead of assuming and lecturing. Patients aren't required to give a reason for wanting their records. They kept asking me why I wanted them. I told them it is my private information and that I didn't need a reason. Felt like a HIPPA violation that they repeatedly demanded it from me. It is my private information. I don't need a reason. Receptionists at doctor offices don't need to know and are not required to know. Then, the receptionists opened my chart to read and lecture me on who to call regarding my dental diagnosis from years ago. Again, felt like a HIPPA violation. I didn't ask them to do that. I didn't give permission to read my chart. I didn't ask for this extraneous info. Done long time ago. All I wanted is for the same image as the one that was shown to me there. Instead, they needed nosy reasons and were nosily reading my chart.

I'll never forget the time that he gave away free teeth cleaning at the cafeteria using the same tooth brush on over 200 hundred students. Mr Crest is what we called him after that and he was well liked because of the gloves he always wore. He used his mother's dish gloves that were a bright pink. I would recommend Dr "Jobby" McCrummen for any type of dental work.
