It pains us greatly to have to drill or damage a working lock to gain entry, so we do all we can to avoid it. - It pains us even more to know there are other locksmiths with the complete opposite way of working, those who's first choice is a drill, knowing they can then charge the customer more to replace a lock which didn't need changing. - GL_Locks are a locksmith and security business offering a wide range of services from non-destructive property and vehicle entry, lock and other hardware installation and carpentry work, safe opening and manipulation. We do composite and UPVC door and window adjustments and multi-point locking door gearbox/mechanism replacements. We install and maintain security systems and CCTV set-ups.

GL_Locks is an independent 24-hour mobile locksmith service for Gloucester, the wider residential community and neighbouring towns of Gloucestershire. My main passion is gaining entry or accessing a lock non-destructively by lock-picking or using other bypass techniques. This love of mine is borne out of my long-standing hobby of locksport and lock picking. Due to the low cost business model I am able to pass on better prices to the customer than the competition and provide a personal service as I am the main point of contact at GL_Locks and the locksmith carrying out the work.

Meet the Business Owner: George L.

I opened GL_Locks in 2021 because it was high-time for me to go-it-alone and start my own locksmith business after spending a number of years learning the trade, but always feeling somewhat held back by the limitations of the position I held at my previous place of work. I have always been fascinated with locks of all types, and in the different picking and bypassing techniques involved in getting them open, - a hobby known as 'locksport'... My ambitions are high for GL_Locks and I genuinely start each day thinking what steps I can take to ultimately make the business more successful and to become the number one mobile locksmith service in Gloucestershire.
