    After getting a liver ultrasound done, I was able to read the results on the patient portal. I…read moremessaged to ask what I needed to do based on the results. Was told to come in for an office visit that week because they don't give lab results over the phone or email. I already had a follow up appointment scheduled for later, but came in early trying to do the right thing for my health. In that appointment the NP read the test results to me. Repeated the same information the doctor had already told me before at the last appointment. I don't have insurance currently, so that cost $125.00 to have results read to me in person that I had read and comprehended from home. The NP then said the office visit could've waited, it was non-emergent. I left a message with the receptionist, asking the office manager to get back to me for being required to come in and charged for an extra visit that wasn't necessary. Received no call from the office manager or anyone from the office.. Last month I sent a message on the patient portal asking for this to be addressed. I asked for the last appointment to be refunded or for the follow up appointment to not require $125 fee from me.. Almost 3 weeks later and still no reply. Today I called and asked about it and was told that the office manager left a note saying that no refund would be given. Very poor business practice that no one could call me or respond in the patient portal. That doesn't feel like patient care. It feels like being charged extra whenever possible. And definitely lacking compassion for somebody who doesn't have insurance & is between jobs too. The doctor, the NP and the receptionists that I have interacted with have been compassionate. But it doesn't seem like the doctor is very connected to how the office manager is handling their business. This situation does not instill confidence or foster trust in me as a patient.

Expect to be placed on long holds for 10-20 minutes right away every single time you call which you have to do as there is no option to cancel online, or send an email or text. You can't even leave a voicemail which would so help both patients and staff. Yet they do a barrage of relentless automated call reminders, even if you check in ahead of time. The poor staff spends all day dealing with the phones ringing off the hook. No empathy from the dismissive business manager who blames the patients. She went to get the owner (the doctors husband I think) and she came back saying he was too busy to speak with me. We will take our business to a doctor who cares about us and who owns an answering machine.

    September 2025 Dr. Ros never ceases to amaze me…read more The Dear Man went above and beyond for me, in saving my life and finding out exactly what was wrong with my heart. Talk about an A+ Doctor. I thank Dr. Ros for finding out what my heart issue's were and extending my life for many more year's to come. Dr. Ros was also extremely instrumental in helping my beautiful Son, Judd Heath. Judd, needed an aortic valve replacement and is doing extremely well. I thank God for giving us Dr. Ros and his wealth of knowledge for extending both our lives. We are both incredibly blessed. I'd also like to thank Dr. Ros' nurse Bhenreenah, she is such a beautiful soul. Bhenreenah also went above and beyond and was able to help me obtain the right appointment's for extended care for my Son.     My former doctor relocated to Nevada, so my wife and I had to find a new physician. Friends…read morerecommended Dr. Ros and we couldn't be happier. We both had appointments this morning: she at 9:20 to review labs and my initial consult at 11:20. We went together since we have a single car and live on Okaloosa Island. The receptionist met us with a smile and was able to combine our two appointments into a single meeting with Dr. Ros. Talk about customer service!!! Completely eliminated a 2-hour wait for me. Good on ya, Marilyn! Dr. Ros impressed both of us with his caring attitude, professionalism and willingness to spend the time with us necessary to answer our questions and leave us feeling great about our decision to make him our primary physician. We both wholeheartedly endorse Dr. Gustavo Ros for anyone needing an internist.
