The quality, as promised, was lacking where the high gloss paint was used, and not done to our satisfaction. Yes, there was a problem, but there was also a happy ending! Based on past experiences with other companies, we figured they would push back against our complaints, and move on without rectifying the situation. Luckily, that was not the case. One of the most important qualities in any company's owners, is integrity. The owner here stood behind his work, and had a very experienced painter come back to completely redo the high gloss areas that were done incorrectly. It looks beautiful now! He also explained that since this job, they have taken steps to change some of their practices to improve in the future. Every company should take advantage of learning experiences, take accountability for mistakes, and put the customer first. Stubbins Painting is one of those companies. This sort of real integrity is rare, and is what makes me comfortable in recommending them!

He would provide updates and let me know when they said they would be there--and they were there at those times. If I had a question, he would quickly respond with a substantive answer or give me a call. I appreciated that. Miguel and Medina are a fantastic duo and they worked really hard on the details and ensuring the job came out right. I was very impressed. They are also very friendly with a lot of experience. There were some obstacles to the job that other painters didn't want to deal with, but IM said "no problem" and indeed there was none! Some of our plants are completely covered with paint! The pots are ruined by paint drips and overspray. There is paint dripped all over our red brick, which surrounds the property. Even the screen doors now have paint on them. There is overspray on the windows and light fixtures. The paint does not go to the bottom of the wall in many places, and they did not repair the stucco in places where promised. There is overspray all over the glass that surrounds our front patio. Our home is on a street with beautiful homes above the golf course in South San Clemente. We have a view of the ocean, and now we see paint drips and imperfections everywhere. This company has devalued our home in the worst way! Use them at your own peril!
