Initial impressions for the restaurant started out very good. The manager on duty was personable and industrious. The restaurant interior is inviting and has a certain charm to it. The menu is pretty extensive in the pie selection. I got the calzone and the wife got the pesto pie. Overall the flavor was quite good, but a big letdown was the crust. The crust here is extremely soft. There's no firmness to it. It could be almost pita like. Also, don't get the olives side if you don't like green olives. We expected black olives and got green, we didn't eat them. The biggest disappointment here is the service. Our waiter really didn't know what he was talking about and didn't engage us during the meal. Then he disappeared when the bill was due, 15 minutes later we had to fly down the manager to pay. Hands down the best Gluten Free pizza I have ever had. They serve gf Peroni and I had the Viola pizza, it was the best after the first bite and the best after the last. It did not follow the Nobel winning "Law of diminishing returns", at least I think that was a winning law. Staff was great, my gf daughter had the Margarita and I just felt sorry for her. read more

Said by some to be Stockholm's premier Pizzeria it was as the first stop of a two-part supper that diners sat down at Giro, the lengthy Restaurant at Sveavaegen 46 no doubt making a good first impression by way of its imported wood-fired oven and a menu full of top quality ingredients including several brought in from the markets of Naples and Rome. Open since 2015 but referencing traditions dating back over one hundred years to Italy, the leavening and baking methods of Da Michele Pizzeria referenced in creating a traditional Pie occasionally adorned by modern ingredients, it is to a Menu of nothing but Pizza, Olives and a lone Salad that guests are introduced upon entry, approximately two-dozen Pies in total. Using ovens readied for lunch and burning until 22h00 nightly, the space fairly large but mostly empty around 16h00, it was after debating several choices that two Pizzas were selected for around 200 SEK each, one arriving after the other as staff prefers to fire each separately when possible and first bites of the puffy rim around "Bufalina Con Fiocchi di Parma" speaking of excellent craftsmanship from the small flecks of Salt on its bottom to melted Fior di Latte and slightly cooler Buffalo Mozzarella set against thinly sliced Ham. Almost "White" Pies thanks to the use of roasted Tomatoes instead of Sauce, Tear-drops plucked from their Vines and rinsed prior to placement atop Dough, it was in a similar display of excellence that a Pizza featuring Calabrian Sausage added a bit of heat plus more blistering to Giro's product, the fact that a thumbsize Cannoli lacked sweetness not unexpected considering Giro's focus on authenticity but the Shell being a little soggy on the bottom admittedly a bit disappointing. read more

Come to Giro for a "just larger than personal" pizza with a gluten free crust available. It definitely was tasty and had a yummy wood fire flavor. It was a little mushy in the middle and was made a bit gummy as it cooled. It was rather expensive for personal pizzas, especially once you paid the up charge to make it gluten free. I would eat there again if I had a pizza craving, but it wasn't a "must visit" for me. read more

Nice little pizza place near The Drottinggaten shopping area of Stockholm. We were quickly seated at a table outside, drinks and food ordered and delivered within 10 minutes. We enjoyed our Diavola pizza but waited about 20 minutes after finishing for our waiter to bring us the check before finally having to go inside to find our waiter. In their defense it did get very busy after our arrival and it was a Friday night. I would have given 4 stars if the service had been more attentive during the later part of our visit. read more

The best gluten-free pizza I've ever had! My friends couldn't event tell the difference! They also have vegan cheese, which was surprisingly good as well. It has a chill ambiance and decent wine selection (but no real alcohol to speak of). We got five pizzas for six people, and every one was delicious and there was more than enough for everyone. The only reason this is not a 5 star review is because it took the small waitstaff a while to take our orders, and then it was a full hour before our pizzas came out. The pizza itself was pretty tasty, but it was very watery and parts of the crust were burnt and inedible. 03/15/2017 Arrived with group of 5 for dinner. Walked in to get a table and were greeted with a nice welcome. We were sat down right away. Staff members were nice to answer questions about the menu. Our drink orders came out right away and food was delivered soon after. I ordered 100W IPA for my drink and the Friarielli & Salsiccia, delicious. We asked why some favorite desserts were taken off the menu. We were told they are now seasonal. When they brought us our check, they delivered with Gelato for all of us, on the house because of the updated menu. They even allowed us to split the bill with our individual orders. Went way beyond. One of the best pizza places in central Stockholm. The zucchini cream pizza especially is just incredible. My husband and I used to get takeout from here almost every Friday for months (if you're not super hungry, one pizza to share between two people is enough) and we always seem to revert back to that one. As this place is in my building, and I'm always one for convenience, I decided to give them a try. The pizza was pretty decent and much better than the typical offerings in the neighborhood. When going to a pizza place for the first time, I tend to always get a margarita or cheese pizza as it provides a nice baseline to measure the pizza against all the pizzas I have ever had. If you've ever had a true Neopolitan pizza, you'll find that no other pizza compares. Twenty-plus years ago, I had one in Napoli and until now, I haven't found any pizza place that could replicate that experience. In the U.S., so-called Neopolitan pizzas have been modified to a crispier and dryer version to accommodate the American palate. I never thought I'd find my pizza bliss again and of all places in Stockholm, Sweden. As I bit into the flavorful soft center and light crust, all the memories of my ultimate pizza moment came flooding back. We came here looking for gluten free pizza and found it! My husband and I both ordered gluten free pizzas- the pepperoni and the four cheese. Both were excellent! Worst customer service of my entire life. Today, I went to have lunch at Giro's with a few colleagues. After 20 min waiting for the food, we asked if it was going to take much longer since we had to made it back to the office soon. The waiter's response was far beyond rude. Furthermore, not only did he continue arguing after we told him to let it go, but also got furious during the payment process. His exact words were: "And now you want to make it even worse by paying separately". By the way, the quality of the pizza didn't make up for the bad customer service. Really unpleasant. read more
