I've had sinus problems most of my life. I've been to three different ENTs over the last twenty years, and they all did the same thing: stuck an endoscope up my nose, looked around for 30 seconds, then shrugged and told me to keep using Flonase. On my very first visit to Girgis, Dr. Sam spent more than an hour with me. He ordered a CT scan and a full blood panel (turns out I had a deviated septum and low antibody levels for several strains of pneumococcal bacteria, which no doctor had ever told me, or even tested for). Eventually, when we had the results, he patiently went over everything in detail, and recommended surgery. The surgery itself was very smooth and the recovery was straightforward. Two months later, it has been LIFE-CHANGING. I am breathing better and sleeping better. Before the surgery, I generally needed an antihistamine, a decongestant, and a nasal spray every day. I have not taken any of them--not even once--since the surgery. During the entire process, the whole staff--Dr. Sam, the nurses, the receptionists, and the billing department--were kind, patient, and always available to answer questions. Last visit here was a quick time, and they needed to burn off some blood vessels inside my nose. I was charged as a surgery, WOW, an eye opener. All was good until they submitted for payment before they sent a bill, we have the funds and not sure why they processed payment on MLK day, a federal holiday. read more

I have menieres disease and have had it for over 50 years. When I came here, it was because of returning symptoms of dizziness, vertigo and ear fullness. I was told that nothing could be done. I found a new ENT and told him this. He told me plenty can be done. Im recieving ear injections now that really help me. I was never told this at Dr. Girgis office. This group saved my hearing a couple weeks back. It was an emergency and they were able to see me without an appointment. They're prescribed the right medication and because of them I still have hearing in my left ear. They're a great group. They take their time to listen to each patient. Have been to this drs. office before for ear cleaning. The latest one, in May, was lacking the full ear cleaning that I had had previous. Just did a scraping and when I asked about the hydrogen peroxide was told I don't need that??? That is why I made the appt. due to having a skin issue that affects my ears. They charged me the same amount but didn't provide the same cleaning as I had had in the past. I will never make another appointment with this office ever again. Also now they want a credit card on file, as I guess they have a lot of patients that don't pay their bills so they're gonna make sure they have a way to make you pay on file. If you don't want your credit card to be charged, you have to wait to find out online about how much you owe and then only have a certain amount of time to get the payment sent in or they will charge your credit card. I don't like that one bit - very stressful!! They should do that to new patients only - not established people who have been going to their offices. read more

Can't say enough good things about this practice. I used to see Dr Doshi and when he retired I needed an ENT in a hurry. Dr Girgis was recommended by a friend and I would happily refer them to anyone. They got me in with Coleen quickly and she took a good deal of time with me, evaluating the full situation and taking the time to explain everything to me. She's gentle and thorough. When I needed a procedure quickly, the office got me in the next day. Dr Girgis was equally amazing. I have been here a few time. They really don't want to address the issue. They want to give you a CPAP machine immediately without any other options. I decided to go back one more time and when I showed up for my appointment, they wanted a credit card or $500 cash. I've never canceled an appointment and I've always paid my bills on time. I guess it's a business and patients are second. There's plenty of other ENT doctors out there they put their patients first. read more

Even with never leaving the house I ended up with a ear infection. The office help was great, and quick. The drs understood my complex medical history and was very nice and helpful. I won't go into what was wrong but she answered all my questions. At the follow up they informed me of a hearing aid technology I didn't know about it that would likely suit me better than the hearing aid I have currently. They did a hearing test on the spot and were really helpful I would use them again if I needed to read more

My 10 year old daughter was extremely nervous to have a tonsillectomy. Dr Girgis and the whole surgical team were just amazing with her! They were so kind, compassionate, and understanding of her fear to have surgery. They made her feel at ease. After surgery they took great care of her and the Dr & a nurse called separately to check in on her. I cannot praise them enough for taking such great care of my baby. Today (Halloween) was her post op appointment and Dr Gru and his minion did her check up. I have been going to different sleep specialist for over thirty years. Dr. Shilpa Viswanath ("V") is by far the best I have visited.
