So why am I only leaving a two-star review? Because the shop is a one-person operation, and when the owner is away there is no backup. I've come to the store several times to find a note on the door saying that they are closed for the day. In 2023, it's not too much to ask for a business to have a website - or even a Twitter feed - that notifies people if they are closed. But even in the absence of an online presence, the store could at least have a recorded message that people can hear when they call in. Guess what? The owner hasn't even bothered to set up his voicemail. Not all of us have the free time to drive halfway across town multiple times just to find the shop closed. Not all of us have the luxury of waiting extra days past the promised delivery date to pick up our shoes. This is the kind of business that I want to support, and it gives me no pleasure to give a low review to a guy who does great work. But when the shop can't deliver a basic service reliably, that's what we're left with.

"service is everything"…read more came here to get my work boots repaired, and on my end, a deadline, I was told that it would be two days to fix my boots, which didn't work for my timeline , I explained this to the shop owner, and he goes "you know what? I'll have it done tomorrow by 3pm" perfect service, and my boots were ready at the time as promised, unfortunately the boots did get destroyed months later, but the repair held up through it all fantastic quality of work would come back if needed!

Ridiculous! Especially since it was a very poor job. The new tiny piece of 'heel' he put on the bottom of the knee highs, that had a wedge heel were CROOKED. This is a nice area, where the 'well-heeled' stroll (pardon the pun...) My footwear may not be Chanel or Loub's, but I expect a good job. Believe me, Irarely whine about price and would not want to warn you about this place, but I was robbed $50?? for new lifts? $45 for shoes that hardly looked better AND DID NOT fix the zipper. $60 for crooked sole bits on boots? Was it because my stuff was only Browns and David's? Run away in your raggedy shoes some where else - or don't be dumb like me and not ask the price. But on the third pair, the owner broke the pin in one of the heels (and refused to take responsibility for the error or even fix the heels at all). On the fourth he grinded down one of the heels, until it was 8mm shorter than its partner, then refused to repair them at all, because they were 'too dangerous" (Again refusing to take responsibility for the work he had done). I used to take my dress shoes to this store every year for repairs, however under this different owner, I will have to look for a new repair store. Warning: If you value your shoes at all, stay well away from this shoe repair shop.

The man who works there might be one of the rudest people I've ever met. Greeted me almost immediately with unnecessary attitude. I had a simple question and he refused to answer it. Didn't offer any middle ground and was pretty useless all together. I can only imagine that if I had got work done by him, it would have been a shoddy as his approach to customer service. Judging by the other reviews, I'm not alone... just terrible!

After he finishes conversation with the new mother.... he then proceeds to explain about my suede boots and how there's nothing he can do for me. Other people in the mall told me this guy was a real piece of work (he's known for that apparently) and this was as I was simply asking directions to the shoe repair guy... and when you see him at first glance he looks like a cool enough guy.... start talking to him you can quickly see that he's rude, and he is ignorant and he has no customer service skills at all. Then I tried again with stretching leather boots and there was no difference in the fit. Another disappointing result. These guys are so nice to deal with but unfortunately, my experiences there have not encouraged me to return.
