Compassionate, kind, professional and competently skilled veterinarian…read more On one of the saddest days of my life, I met a compassionate, kind, professional and competently skilled veterinarian with a team that genuinely cares about animals and people. My cat had Lymphoma. She went downhill so fast, she was clearly in pain, stopped eating and drinking; I didn't want to subject her to the 70 minute car trip to our usual veterinarian. I started calling all the animal hospitals within a 20 minute drive. I was shocked at the amount of money they were asking me to pay to end her suffering. All were charging for a full exam even though I explained I had the pathology report & one look at her & it was clear that sadly the time had come. A couple of places even gave me ridiculously itemized totals. And then, I called Station Plaza Veterinarian Group. The fee was so low that I questioned the education & amount of years in practice. Top Vet school, 15 years in practice... okay. I arrived to a filled waiting room, but was ushered right into a treatment room. The Vet Tech was kind, caring and comforting. Dr. Cathy Roncskevitz came in. She examined my cat and read the report. She then patiently explained the possible treatments and poor prognosis. She supported me, explaining and giving me the confidence that I needed to go ahead with euthanasia. With a full waiting room, she told me to take all the time I needed to say goodbye. I have euthanatized five animals, and Dr R. took the most time with the sedative first to make sure she was asleep before injecting. She was the first doctor to get the vein on the first try, considering my cat was dehydrated, making it difficult. She even took the time to shave all the fur I wanted. I commented to Dr.Roncskevitz about her very reasonable fee; "It's the last service that we can provide for an animal, why should we price gouge." From start to finish, I was treated as if I was a long time important client. I still have two cats & a parrot, I am pleased to say that I won't have to make that 70 minute trip to my long-time veterinarian.

Dr. Sullivan killed my cat by carelessly injecting my senior cat with a KNOWN HEART MURMUR with a steroid that lead to her going into congestive heart failure. Her entire body filled up with fluid as a result. This practice is disgusting their doctors care more about squeezing you dry of every last penny you have than caring for your cat. I wouldn't trust this place with a goldfish. Their negligence and incompetence is horrible and they should be shut down for good. Same goes for their sister establishment west hills.

I am pet-obsessed. I admit it. I cry at the idea of my Cairn Terrier "Suzy" being ill. So when my…read morelil' darlin' Suzy needed an extreme surgery, I needed a surgeon that could go above and beyond... I had been blessed to meet Dr. Tomas Infernuso - one of the top veterinary surgeons! Dr. Infernuso has a wonderful reputation as a highly skilled and talented surgeon. You can immediately tell he has a genuine passion for his profession and prides himself in making sure the owners are well informed and prepared for the surgery. I cannot thank his team enough for saving Suzy's life. Suzy had a tumor that was growing so fast, it was taking over all the space in her little body. Dr. Infernuso, who was so kind and straightforward, gave me all the info I needed in a very honest way to make hard decisions. Suzy is 10 years old, but otherwise healthy. The surgery was going to be costly and risky but given Suzy's happy demeanor and otherwise health, the Dr. decided to take a chance on Suzy. Dr. Infernuso was more than fair with cost and fees. He is not about breaking banks, he is about saving lives... Dr Infernuso pulled a huge mass out of Suzy. The removal off this mass also included removing a damaged ureter and kidney along with reconstructing her colon. This Dr. is so gifted at what he does. Amazing. I just cannot thank Dr. Infernuso enough. The care Suzy received was absolutely top notch. Suzy was hospitalized for three days being taken care of so skillfully after surgery by the Dr. and Nurse. They both texted and called me often to update me about Suzy's condition. They had walked me through the after care process as well. I will recommend Dr. Infernuso a zillion times over, I will forever be grateful for the extra time he took to keep my sweet baby alive.I am looking at her now playing. She is happy. That means everything to me. Thank you so much, Dr. Infernuso!

We've brought several generations of our dogs, who are important members of our family, to him for both routine & urgent care. He & his staff are smart, sensitive & extremely competent. They're always willing to accommodate special appt needs wherever possible. For instance, today we had an urgent situation with one of our Siberian Huskies. They were at their Patchogue Surgi-Center, which is not our usual office but yet his staff was quick to accommodate us. I wrote this review today to both thank Dr Kolbert and to address the several poor reviews seen on Yelp. They baffle both my family and me. Everyone I know who brings their adored pets to Dr Kolbert are more than satisfied and so are we. Highly recommended!

Unlike vets before him, he was able to get him on a medical regimen so the seizures stopped without the weight gain. I have a new puppy and they have been really awesome with her, they allow my to train her in the office during visits and lure her while she is getting shots so she has a great experience. Lastly, you learn a lot about your animals care taker when you have to put one down. They treated me very nicely and compassionately when I had to put my cat down. You don't forget those moments. They do run appointment only visits but they have two offices with late hours for working people which makes taking animals in convenient.

Anyone who has been a long-standing client of Glen Animal Hospital in Sea Cliff, I'm sure you will…read moreremember Dr. Dominic Gentile. If your pets have had the fortunate opportunity, such as mine, to be in his care, and if you miss him; I want you to know he's back on a part-time basis. Hopefully, he will remain and better yet, return to being one of their full time doctors. I have shared my home with cats since the early 70's. I'm not sure, it might have been during the mid 80's or 90's, when Dr. Gentile joined the practice. At that time the facility was still privately owned. Since then he has used their revolving door. Throughout the years my fur babies have been treated by many doctors at this facility. Dr. Gentile is one of the most caring my pets were fortunate to be treated by. He is compassionate, excellent skills/knowledge, quick thinking, assertive. He takes time to listen, explains thoroughly, answers questions in a language and manner we can understand. A client never feels uncomfortable in his presence, he understands the animal isn't the only one hurting. He is very patient, doesn't speed through exams, a client doesn't feel rushed. I think after a while animal care gets to be routine with some doctors. They forget the importance of also treating the client, they can even present annoyance a client is taking up their time. I understand they don't have an easy job, treating sick animals have to deal with death on a regular basis. I think it becomes routine, they lose their ability to communicate, express compassion and emotions. However, this is the career they chose and when they get to that stage, they should retire. Dr. Gentile is honest and very direct. If you are looking for a vet who's going to agree with you, or pat you on the back, this doctor is not for you.
